.....shampoo!

That's how exciting my life is Grin

Being a SAHM with 5% social time I find myself getting excited over little things!

Does anyone else get excited over little things or am I just alone in this?

Sounds like a good plan!

I got into my fresh pj's only for my DS to piss all over it so had to re-shower and change my clothes.

I'm all set to watch Power and watch my boy Ghost Brew

Monthly the PostScript book catalogue arrives
I love leafing through and ordering books I really don't need and have no room for.
'The history of the baked bean museum' anyone??
I promised DH I wouldn't buy anymore until < horror> I had given some of my books away (promise didn't count though as I had my fingers crossed behind my back at the time) so do feel momentarily guilty.

I am expecting a delivery today or tomorrow Blush

Stressalot42 · 01/08/2017 08:28

I am still on a high from getting a Hello Fresh box for tagliatelle with prawns and serrano ham reduced from £10 to £2.49 in Sainsbury's last night.

^^
That would make my month!!!

IThoughtYouSaidGin · 01/08/2017 08:40

I get excited when an online food shop comes. All the lovely planned meals and snacks.

Instead of the mismatch of 'ooo that looks nice' but no actual meals when I go in store Wink

OhWellNeverMindEh · 01/08/2017 08:41

I've found my people.

I get excited at any kind of delivery, for any member of the family.

I love going to the supermarket and buying the high-end stuff when it's on offer.

I am simplifying my whole house, more expensive stuff but fewer items and it feels soooooo good.

The rubber band thing...amazed that it's not just me?

MumBod · 01/08/2017 09:17

I got a new art set half price from Amazon this week. Lots of pencils and charcoal and two different sorts of eraser, all laid out in a little wallet.

It might have been the best thing that has happened to me this year Blush

MumBod · 01/08/2017 09:19

Ooh, ooh, and we got a free box of promotional items from a company that sells literary gifts sent to work.

Tons of free notebooks, fancy bookmarks, little reading lights, etc. It was very exciting indeed.

Mamadothehump · 01/08/2017 09:24

My husband took delivery of my new mop and bucket last week. I was out at the time so he sent me a pic as he knew how happy it would make me!!!

Notthecarwashagain · 01/08/2017 16:12

Ooh great thread!
Found my tribe!

I bought some coconut oil toilet roll from Tesco last week-excited.
Did the online shop this week and found and ordered the matching toilet wipes. Coconut smelling wipes! < Giddy happy>

I do a lot of knitting and I get a bit too excited when my favourite wool brands release new shades and fibre blends (I am 23)

Housemum · 02/08/2017 11:14

justgothit I was almost hyperventilating yesterday when my expensive and gorgeous Chiaogoo interchangeable set of needles arrive - absolutely fantastic but have been waiting ages to have the cash to buy them!

Simple pleasures:

  • New notebooks, and choosing nice ones
  • brand new HB pencils.
  • storage that just fits the stuff you want it to.
  • choosing cleaning products
Evangeline3 · 02/08/2017 11:47

I understand. I sometimes get a little thrill about the free elastic band that you get if there are 2 stalks of broccoli! :)

& asparagus 😆

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 02/08/2017 11:52

The Azera coffee limited edition tins. They're so pretty.

I think that might be the most MN sentence I've written on here.

EastMidsGPs · 02/08/2017 12:36

My PostScript books have just arrived Grin
AND as an added bonus they've been packed with those little pockets of air that are so satisfying to pop.
Now just need to put these new books in amongst my existing ones so DH doesn't notice they're here.

IJustGotHitByADeer · 04/08/2017 12:57

The latest amazing exciting delivery in the Deer household... dettol washing machine cleaner.

The stuff you run on an empty cycle to get rid of smells.

I've never done this before (and I moved out of mum's place and into DH's 2.5 years ago Blush) so this is genuinely exciting
