New thread so that we can await this morning's hearing.

Let's try to keep this one as sensible and measured as the past 5 threads have been.

Fingers crossed that this can all be resolved today and that Charlie and his parents can find peace.

Do we know what time the hearing is? I saw a picture on Charlies army of a child with a megaphone, why is this child not in school?

Poor baby; I hope the circus is bought to an end quickly & his suffering ends.

BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings · 13/07/2017 10:13

Scotland have already broken up, I think?

GabsAlot · 13/07/2017 10:14

half ten i think

thanks cav

CaveMum · 13/07/2017 10:14

Hearing is at 10.30.

Lapin has said she will copy and paste the live Tweets from Joshua Rozenberg (BBC reporter with legal background) for those not on Twitter.

muckypup73 10:30 I think.

flatbreads · 13/07/2017 10:14

10.30am I believe. Victoria Derbyshire show really annoyed me, so biased and all the old 'cute' pictures being shown as usual.

muckypup73 · 13/07/2017 10:14

BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings, not sure he was scottish though.

MidnightAura · 13/07/2017 10:15

Scottish schools are on holiday already.

Thanks for the new thread!

SocksBoatsAndQats · 13/07/2017 10:15

Fingers crossed that they find peace with it all.

I saw a quote in the fail about how if the court decides against the Gards this morning that their efforts simply weren't enough.

How horrible, this isn't about the parents and it isn't simply about effort. There are things which you can't fight and that includes some diseases. A lot of people can't beat sepsis, it's not that their effort wasn't enough.

flatbreads · 13/07/2017 10:16

Live tweets would be good. Really hope that the right decision is made today. Any idea when we will know by? Guess that depends on the 'new' evidence? 30 mins or all day?

Rhodiolia · 13/07/2017 10:16

I started a new thread at the same time, so have asked MNHQ to delete mine. Hope it doesn't cause confusion in the meantime, my apologies.

MissHavishamsleftdaffodil · 13/07/2017 10:16

Does anyone have the link for the Joshua Rosenberg feed? Can't find it on sky news site

redshoeblueshoe · 13/07/2017 10:16

The man on Sky just said they have until today to get there evidence in. No - they had until yesterday, the judge made that very clear.

rabbitnothare · 13/07/2017 10:17

Yes the 'keep fighting' mantra is not helpful and quite unkind on others who have a terminal illness.

flatbreads · 13/07/2017 10:17

I think they had until 3pm yesterday to submit.

DearMrDilkington · 13/07/2017 10:19

I hope this is the last time it needs to go to court. I pray his parents can accept whichever outcome happens, the poor little boy has suffered enough now.

rabbitnothare · 13/07/2017 10:20

twitter.com/joshuarozenberg/status/885395193272381442

This is a link (I hope) to his twitter feed

Rhodiolia · 13/07/2017 10:21

Not sure if this will work, but this is a list of the Amazon wishlist for 14 of the Ronald McDonald houses that provide free accommodation for parents with children in hospital. I am going to buy a few bits for each one weekly, starting with Glasgow as it's the one that has helped my family.

Hope the link works! www.amazon.co.uk/gp/registry/search/ref=cm_wl_search_sh?tag=mumsnetforum-21

TheWeeWitch · 13/07/2017 10:21

I feel like tweeting Rozenberg and saying "Tweet well! MN is relying on you!!"

GabsAlot · 13/07/2017 10:23

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 13/07/2017 10:23

Surely it can't drag on anymore after today...

CaveMum · 13/07/2017 10:24

Rhodiolia that's really useful, thanks for the link. I will get something from it too.

It really upsets me that the CA claim children who succumb to their illness didn't fight hard enough - they probably fought extremely hard! They are no less "brave" or less of a "fighter" just because the illness was unbeatable :(
