New thread so that we can await this morning's hearing.

Let's try to keep this one as sensible and measured as the past 5 threads have been.

Fingers crossed that this can all be resolved today and that Charlie and his parents can find peace.

1 in 10,000 is 0.01%. It's a hundredth of one percent.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 13/07/2017 10:55

I'd appreciate if you posted the tweets? Smile

Judge tells Charlie’s parents that his welfare remains the court’s priority. Reminds press that clinicians can’t be identified.

nauticant · 13/07/2017 10:55

I don't know why, but I am suddenly hoping Charlie gets this chance. I have completely changed my view.

This might come across as callous but I think because his chances are effectively negligible then it would be better for doctors, experts, and courts to prevail over a social media campaign. The precedent (non-legal) a social media victory would create would lead to worse campaigns in the future.

Melanie Phillips is married to Joshua Rozenberg.

Sallystyle · 13/07/2017 10:56

Id like the tweets posted if it isn't too much work. I won't be able to spend much time online this morning.

pasanda · 13/07/2017 10:57

I would appreciate the tweets being posted. I have clicked on the twitter link above and got it but does it keep updating automatically. It would seem it stays on the same 'page' (Never used twitter in my life!!)

TIA

nauticant · 13/07/2017 10:57

I always feel sorry for Joshua Rozenberg when I recall that MontyPythonsFlyingFuck. Of course, he might be perfectly happy in a lovely marriage.

muckypup73 · 13/07/2017 10:58

GabsAlot · 13/07/2017 10:58

''Armstrong: video conferencing with NY specialist planned for 1400 UK time today.''

With who? Why at 2pm today after court? Why not yesterday?

So realistically there aren't going to be any answers today

LapinR0se · 13/07/2017 10:58

Armstrong: parents seek to reopen their case relating t o success of treatment

LapinR0se · 13/07/2017 10:59

Parents expect muscular improvement, blood/brain barrier factors etc

CaveMum · 13/07/2017 10:59

Is this the same specialist who said the treatment is unlikely to work in Charlie's case?

I'm sure they could have arranged a conference sooner.

i dont unrstand why judge didnt rule againt this though all vidence had to be in ysterday

teainbed · 13/07/2017 11:00

Thank you to whoever posted the Melanie Phillips article it was very well written.

I sincerely hope today is the day that this circus comes to an end and that poor Charlie can be made comfortable and hopefully pass away peacefully.

Huge sympathy for his parents, they must be in such pain to put themselves through this.

But I must admit, I wavered a little last night. If this is to go on and on, then perhaps the quickest way for him to go is to go and try the US treatment, hoping that it would quickly be obvious that it won't work. His parents will be so damaged after this.

However I absolutely agree that no precedent should be set and that the ruling should be upheld today.

Sostenueto · 13/07/2017 11:00

Please post tweets lapinrose if poss because we can all see at same time

BabsGanoush · 13/07/2017 11:00

Why 2pm today - that's why the court gave them a week. Are they just pushing the boundaries?

LapinR0se · 13/07/2017 11:00

Armstrong: appears to have been error in perception of MRI and EEG evidence. Challenges finding of irreparable brain damage.
