To let Dd wear a suit ?

All her cousins will be in dress. She's girly in the way that she likes to have her eyebrows dimensions ,nails painted and she would usually wear a dress if she had to .

Aibu to dash out last minute and find a suit for Dsisters wedding ?

(Where can I get one btw,she likes one like cara delavigne. Can only find low cut ones that are worn without a shirt )

To let Dd wear a suit ?

Could she wear one of the ones you can find with a camisole underneath rather than a shirt?

DanceMam · 08/07/2017 08:59

Post should've read *eyebrows done

She thinks a camisole isn't smart enough.

IHeartDodo · 08/07/2017 08:59

Why not? She'll be smart...
I like the camisole idea... Maybe one a bit sparkly?

DanceMam · 08/07/2017 09:01

She's a bridesmaid! Bride doesn't mind if she decides to wear a suit or the dress

Yes if that's what she wants. I think it could look lovely especially with hair and makeup up done.

Trills · 08/07/2017 09:04

Suit is a great idea - not sure why you are dashing at the last minute though? Did she have an outfit planned and then change her mind?

She'll need to go with you - sizing/fit is important if it's going to look smart.

Silky shiny camisole, not a cotton one.

ConstanceCraving · 08/07/2017 09:04

A bridesmaid?
Are the others wearing the same dresses or is everyone choosing their own?

Trills · 08/07/2017 09:05

x-post - if she's a bridesmaid shouldn't her suit coordinate with suits of groomsmen etc?

00100001 · 08/07/2017 09:07

I'm so confused. Surely this should have been sorted out before the "last minute"? How old is your daughter?

00100001 · 08/07/2017 09:08

And why is a suit now an option??

RainaBaina · 08/07/2017 09:10

When you say "dash out" - is the wedding today?? Because if it is, she should wear whatever was originally planned. Especially if she is a bridesmaid.

happypoobum · 08/07/2017 09:12

How old is DD?

When is the wedding and what was the original plan for her to wear?

DanceMam · 08/07/2017 09:14

The brides all have the same dress . They all had it altered but Dd couldn't as we could only fly over yesterday and the dress doesn't fit at all . Bride said Dd can look different to the other bridesmaids as she's maid of honour

OP posts:
BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 08/07/2017 09:17

How long have you got?
Seriously, the Bride should be the focus of attention, not the Maid of Honour, which she will be if she wears a suit.

Gileswithachainsaw · 08/07/2017 09:18

If bride is happy with it then why not?

Who said bridesmaids have to wear dresses...

Rossigigi · 08/07/2017 09:19

How oldIs your daughter?

NerrSnerr · 08/07/2017 09:20

How old is she? Is the dress wearable or does it not fit at all?

DanceMam · 08/07/2017 09:21

Doesn't fit at all . She's 15

OP posts:
ConstanceCraving · 08/07/2017 09:25

Personally if she's maid of honour I would suggest a dress unless the wedding isn't that traditional and she won't stand out like a sore thumb.

deuxmoulins · 08/07/2017 09:26

If the bride is happy with it, and she doesn't have anything else, why not?

Trills · 08/07/2017 09:27

OK, so you have to go get SOMETHING at the last minute, there is no existing outfit.

Tuxedo suit with silky camisole of approx same colour as bridesmaids dresses?

DanceMam · 08/07/2017 09:27

Wedding is deffo not a traditional one .

Rossigigi · 08/07/2017 09:27

A smart suite with a cami similar in colour to the bridesmaid dress could look smart. I think a lot will be too low cut without given her age.
Excuse the personal question but is she big busted? Because that will be the difficulty finding one to fit (bitter experience here).

If your DD is 15, surely it's her decision!

She could wear a suit with a colour co-ordinating cami?
