"Can't beat getting into your own bed after Glastonbury! 😂 My back is killing, my feet hurt, my ears are still ringing and my body appears to be in pre-anaphylactic shock due to pollen abuse. Goodnight cruel world".

I don't really know why it annoys me, I suppose it's the stealth gloating but also the way this person constantly writes statuses in a way that sounds like a fucking journalists!! There are so many examples from her where she writes like she's writing a book and it's just so pretentious! It's Facebook not a-level English ffs

You sound jealous. Did you mean to?

whifflesqueak · 26/06/2017 09:20

I'm not seeing what you are taking issue with...

SaucyJack · 26/06/2017 09:21

Kill the fucker dead.

BlackAppleCore · 26/06/2017 09:21

Jealous of what?? I was also at Glastonbury if that's what you mean!

OP posts:
Sirzy · 26/06/2017 09:22

Nope really can't see any issue with it

GhostInTheBackOfYourHead · 26/06/2017 09:23

I don't know what, you know this person, I don't.
Maybe I'm projecting....

TrueLove83 · 26/06/2017 09:23

No! Your world is small if that bothers you

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 26/06/2017 09:23

I take it you don't like this person very much? I can't see anything wrong or pretentious with the post personally. But if you don't like someone one you'll find fault with whatever they write. Just unfollow/unfriend her and unclench a bit Grin

Palomb · 26/06/2017 09:24

Well you obviously don't like her very much so remove her from your Facebook?

PantPlot · 26/06/2017 09:24

Standard.

WorraLiberty · 26/06/2017 09:25

Much better than "Feeling blessed".

I don't see a problem

Bluntness100 · 26/06/2017 09:25

Looks like a humourous post to me. You do feel like that after a festival. Is there a personal issue here where you don't like the person and anything they post will piss uou off?

bigmouthstrikesagain · 26/06/2017 09:25

Gosh - that is harsh - they can write however they like - this sort of post I can deal with - and if I find a posting style irritating I block. That is what blocking is for - they don't know and you can be free of irritating updates. But really you are allowed to be pretentious online if you want - it is innocuous enough and expressed how they wanted you to think about them at that moment.

To be honest I would take more posts like your 'friends' any day over people I know (now blocked) who post continual pictures of sunsets with inspirational bollocks written over them. Or Vaguebookers looking for concerned "you ok hun?" - "I will pm you" exchanges.

Addley · 26/06/2017 09:25

What would you have preferred?

"LOL had a amazing time at Glasto wiv my best girls, rly tired now BFFs 4eva! "

Your friend's post is perfectly normal. Sounds like they had a lovely time.

Shoxfordian · 26/06/2017 09:26

Don't really see the issue. Just unfollow them if you don't like their posts.

MrsJayy · 26/06/2017 09:26

Your facebook friend likes flowery words and is over dramatic It is a much better status than glasto was fab or something just as dull I probably would have "liked" that status Grin

MMmomDD · 26/06/2017 09:26

It just sounds a bit funny and a bit showy (as in - look at me I am cool and witty)
BUT - that is what FB is for.

And you do come across as a bit jealous. Don't know of what, though

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 26/06/2017 09:27

I have friends who write kind of flamboyant posts but they are totally tongue in cheek as is indicated by the comments that take the piss out of the original poster. If they drive you batty block their feed off yours.

OddBoots · 26/06/2017 09:27

It sounds fine to me, just because it is Facebook it doesn't mean you automatically have to dumb down, people can choose their own style of writing.

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 26/06/2017 09:28

😂 Addley isn't that the truth!

Addley · 26/06/2017 09:28

I don't think it's overdramatic, and where are the flowery words? It just sounds like a normal slightly jokey status that any of my friends might make.

BurntBum · 26/06/2017 09:29

I think it's probably time for you to deactivate your Facebook account!

SoftlyCatchyMonkey1 · 26/06/2017 09:30

I think it's because you're reading it in the context of her, and she probably annoys you a bit so this post is annoying for you. But out of context and on it's own this post seems objectively not too bad - I've seen much, much worse. The goodnight cruel world bit at the end is a bit annoying though.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 26/06/2017 09:30

I think its fine Confused

Obviouspretzel · 26/06/2017 09:31

It isn't even like the vocabulary is advanced? It's just a completely normal status.
