"Can't beat getting into your own bed after Glastonbury! 😂 My back is killing, my feet hurt, my ears are still ringing and my body appears to be in pre-anaphylactic shock due to pollen abuse. Goodnight cruel world".

I don't really know why it annoys me, I suppose it's the stealth gloating but also the way this person constantly writes statuses in a way that sounds like a fucking journalists!! There are so many examples from her where she writes like she's writing a book and it's just so pretentious! It's Facebook not a-level English ffs

That would irritate me too although I'm not sure why. Maybe it's just a bit wanky.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 26/06/2017 09:31

All status's on FB annoy me. Grin

However, I've seen a billion more offensive than that one.

Phosphorus · 26/06/2017 09:32

It sounds like a perfectly normal post to me, they obviously had a fantastic time.

A-level English? So yes, a normal, every-day, literate writing style?

No hunning, or text speak. Perfectly fine.Confused

LizzieMacQueen · 26/06/2017 09:32

Facebook was made for this (pretentious) shit.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 26/06/2017 09:33

If I were marking it I would also think the 'goodnight cruel world' is a little mis-placed/doesn't quite fit.

silkpyjamasallday · 26/06/2017 09:33

All statuses posted on Facebook are wanky, that may be a more wanky than usual example but it's par for the course with social MEdia, it's all me me me me me. Bleurgh that's why I don't 'do' Facebook and the like, it makes me really dislike people I would otherwise get along with just fine.

2014newme · 26/06/2017 09:34

Is your friend Russell Brand?

TheFaerieQueene · 26/06/2017 09:34

I find it incredible that an innocuous fb post made you so pissed off you started a thread about it. You obviously don't like this woman so delete her, and possibly all of fb, and forget about it.

MrsJayy · 26/06/2017 09:34

"Pre anaphalctyc shock due to pollen abuse" is kinda dramatic and flowery wordy are you the friend was that your status Grin

user1489675144 · 26/06/2017 09:34

She can write what she wants; you don't have to read it though.

If it bothers you as much as it sounds then unfriend her. How old are you? There are more important things it life to worry about/stress about/ try getting a life yourself and then you won't need to get jealous/overreact about what others write on a childish social media platform

histinyhandsarefrozen · 26/06/2017 09:35

Its not hard to start threads here...

Yes, pre-anaphalactic shock is over-blown and she should be marked down for it.

5LiveSportsExtra · 26/06/2017 09:35

I think she just annoys you. Status seems ok but you're the one who knows her in RL and context is everything.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 26/06/2017 09:36

I quite like 'pollen abuse' though. That's quite good.

GhostInTheBackOfYourHead · 26/06/2017 09:37

2014 that made me proper rofl Grin

BlackAppleCore · 26/06/2017 09:37

Wow I misjudged this one! I read it and thought "how annoying! Mumsnet will hate this one ... "

Guess I'm more hormonal and arsey than you lot 😂 She does annoy me a bit in general, constantly posting photos of her trips and holidays with these "witty" comments underneath. Just can't see why she needs to write like that! She's done worse ones than this example. Her "mid run" ones are the worst!

"Facebook was made for this (pretentious) shit."
"MEdia, it's all me me me me me. Bleurgh that's why I don't 'do' Facebook and the like, it makes me really dislike people I would otherwise get along with just fine"

These sum it up... leave it the endless ME ME ME posts get you so stressed you have to create a post looking for people to agree with YOU... sounds like FB

TheStoic · 26/06/2017 09:37

What on earth are your other friends posting, if you think that sounds like a professional writer??

MrsJayy · 26/06/2017 09:38

I think it is funny, does your friend generally annoy you and that is why you are eye rolling at the status

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 26/06/2017 09:38

erm the roles of bitching is to bitch to someone that (a) knows the person and (b) also dislikes them. HTH! Grin

Addley · 26/06/2017 09:38

I think the "pre-anaphylactic shock due to pollen abuse" was a little bit of hyperbole as an attempt at humour, probably a bit self-deprecating and a sly reference to drug use. I'd have smiled.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 26/06/2017 09:39

Can a body be in a state of pre-anaphylcactic shock?

I feel not.

Sushi123 · 26/06/2017 09:39

I get what's getting you. There's nothing wrong with the post though , you just can't stand this person....unfollow them...

TheDowagerCuntess · 26/06/2017 09:39

I think we probably have to have seen all the other FB posts to get it.

Based on this one post, there's really nowt to get worked up about.

Underparmummy · 26/06/2017 09:39

Its literate and isn't offensive. Thats a massive tick for Facebook in my book...

MrsJayy · 26/06/2017 09:40

Oh dear reading on I think you need to unfollow her it is easily done just untick her and you don't need to read her again
