"Can't beat getting into your own bed after Glastonbury! 😂 My back is killing, my feet hurt, my ears are still ringing and my body appears to be in pre-anaphylactic shock due to pollen abuse. Goodnight cruel world".

I don't really know why it annoys me, I suppose it's the stealth gloating but also the way this person constantly writes statuses in a way that sounds like a fucking journalists!! There are so many examples from her where she writes like she's writing a book and it's just so pretentious! It's Facebook not a-level English ffs

OP posts:
Coddiwomple · 26/06/2017 09:40

Nope, it's just you OP, nothing pretentious or irritating in that post.

YABU

Your OP is much worst on so-many levels. where she writes like she's writing a book and it's just so pretentious! It's Facebook not a-level English ffs Confused It's just English. How on earth do you expect her to write to meet your approval?

BastardGoDarkly · 26/06/2017 09:40

SaucyJack Grin

Owlettecatboy · 26/06/2017 09:40

TBH thatwould annoy me too, but I'm a bit of a bitch. "Goodnight cruel world". Very pretentious.

Block and move on.

ShatnersBassoon · 26/06/2017 09:42

I wish I had more like this on my Facebook! It's light and fun, and seems to be exactly what FB is for.

Coddiwomple · 26/06/2017 09:43

"Goodnight cruel world". Very pretentious.
She did not add lighthearted in her post! How dare she! Grin

Why oh why are people FB "friends" with someone they can't stand, I'll never know.

missiondecision · 26/06/2017 09:45

You know why social media is for do you ??
Narcissistic news.
The writer had a good time. Where's the issue?

missiondecision · 26/06/2017 09:45

What not why

Coddiwomple · 26/06/2017 09:45

bold fail, sorry

OneMillionScovilles · 26/06/2017 09:47

This reminds me of a comment on captainawkward.com (one of the few places where it's safe to read "the bottom half of the internet" without getting stabby!):

"You are right on with what I call “bitch eating crackers.” It comes from one of those retro graphic memes “when you already don’t like someone everything they do is annoying ‘look at that bitch eating crackers like she owns the place.'” When I realize I’ve reached ‘bitch eating crackers’ with someone I try to take a step back and figure out which behaviors are actually the problem and drop the rest."

That bitch is eating crackers all over your FB, but doesn't sound like she's done anything wrong...?

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 26/06/2017 09:48

At least she didn't add #soblessed

No one I know does that but that one is hideous.

leghoul · 26/06/2017 09:48

It's annoying I think because of the narcissistic news factor, the performance of her life and reporting as if it is interesting to others (and the pre-anaphylactic shock is very irritating) but that applies to all facebook statuses really. This is better than the majority.

leghoul · 26/06/2017 09:50

'Bitch eating crackers' Grin

user1495451339 · 26/06/2017 09:50

I have a friend who I actually quite like but her posts on facebook just make my toes curl. Cannot stand the self promotion to be honest! I find myself losing respect for certain people due to the way they post!!!!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 26/06/2017 09:51

If she was #livingthedream #lovemylife at the end I would be with you 100% but it's fairly innocuous. Sorry!

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 26/06/2017 09:52

She didn't post #bossbabe so it's all good.

Coddiwomple · 26/06/2017 09:52

leghoul you do realise what FB is all about, don't you?

Clandestino · 26/06/2017 09:55

you OK hun? XXX

WorraLiberty · 26/06/2017 09:57

I just don't get all the Facebook martyrs on Mumsnet at the moment.

If someone irritates you, simply 'click' and unfriend.

It's really that simple but anyone would think you had to start a long legal process or something Confused

leghoul · 26/06/2017 10:00

I'm on facebook, sort of, but I haven't posted anything since 2012 and I've made my settings so that any future statuses I post are only visible to me because I know they'll be annoying...

leghoul · 26/06/2017 10:01

Yeah I don't really get it

Flumpernickel · 26/06/2017 10:05

YABU.

Nothing wrong with that post, at least it's not bastarding politics. I cannot bear the constant racket of daily politics rants on facebook. If it was about corbyn/may/trump/hillary/boris/gove/brexit/britain first etc... then you would have my sympathies but this post is what facebook exists for. You can always unfollow Wink

BangkokBlues · 26/06/2017 10:06

Seems fine to me! I think you just don't like this oerson

Flumpernickel · 26/06/2017 10:06

Or, of course, you could do what I did and hit 'deactivate'.

seasonschooner · 26/06/2017 10:10

Yes it would annoy me too Grin. I hate most posts on Facebook though and am a miserable recluse!!

lalaloopyhead · 26/06/2017 10:11

I think as far as Facebook posts go that is absolutely fine, in fact I quite like the style.
Surely all FB posts are self promoting and on the assumption that people will find your life interesting - what would be the point otherwise?
Much rather that than 'Just got back from my holibobs with the best famalam in the universe - feeling blessed' but even then each to their own and all that.
