to think you can't smear corbyn for supposed sympathy to the IRA and supposed willingness to do deals with the SNP and THEN do a deal yourself with the DUP?

How the hell do the tories think that they will get away with this?

so they still own the media right ?

JuicyStrawberry · 09/06/2017 13:07

YANBU. The hypocrisy is laughable!

birdsdestiny · 09/06/2017 13:10

I can't be happy about this, it's horrific.

HornyTortoise · 09/06/2017 13:10

Its an absolute joke.

Anti womens rights and anti gay rights too.

Charming party.

DioneTheDiabolist · 09/06/2017 13:14

Did TM just decide this herself or did she ask the other Tory MPs?

Jux · 09/06/2017 13:15

It is about the worst thing she could have done.

OliviaPopeRules · 09/06/2017 13:16

I don't agree with the DUP on many (any) things but they were never terrorists or never officially endorsed terrorism (although you could argue they did unofficially).
So it's not really comparable.

SunEgg · 09/06/2017 13:16

YANBU, utter hypocrisy from Tories

Jux · 09/06/2017 13:17

She was only a vicar's daughter
And was absolutely no better than she oughter....
In fact, a heck of a lot worse

OliviaPopeRules · 09/06/2017 13:17

TM's speech looks like she has learnt nothing and is still just listening to her inner circle. She will be lucky to last months it will likely be weeks.

BertrandRussell · 09/06/2017 13:17

They are officially the Conservative and Unionist Party

christinarossetti · 09/06/2017 13:18

This minority government will crumble within weeks. Even the Beeb were saying that the Queen was about to meet her 13th PM, and the 14th will probably come round a bit quicker than she thought.

It's utter, desperate straw clutching. Not to be confused with a strong and stable leadership.

OliviaPopeRules · 09/06/2017 13:20

christina I agree but I can't face another election!

cdtaylornats · 09/06/2017 13:21

Corbyn - talking with the IRA while they were actively killing UK citizens is not reasonable.

Anyone including Corbyn now talking to legitimate elected Irish politicians is normal.

LanaKanesLeftNippleTassle · 09/06/2017 13:22

Oh OP YADNBU!

The fucking hypocrisy is breathtaking.

And still people are scrambling to defend them, whilst still smearing JC.

And yeah, TM is very happy to sell arms to the Saudis who are currently arming and funding fucking ISIS.
That is considerably more terrorist sympathiser than a bloke who goes to peace talks.

FFS.

The DUP have very strong links to a group that were responsible for 48% of civillian deaths.
The same group that are strongly anti-abortion, anti-gay rights and anti- women.

And still people defending it.

christinarossetti · 09/06/2017 13:22

Olivia, I know! But it's better than the alternative.

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 09/06/2017 13:22

Peter Robinson, for example, who was DUP leader and Northern Ireland’s first minister until last year, was an active member of Ulster Resistance

No connection at all then Hmm

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 09/06/2017 13:23

Those who are claiming no link. Laughable

iloveeverykindofcat · 09/06/2017 13:24

Apparently TM is willing to stoop pretty damn low to cling on to power. Wonder where this will end.

LanaKanesLeftNippleTassle · 09/06/2017 13:24

Oh and lets not forget the DUP were against the Good Friday agreement.

The one thing that's actually done something to help.

But carry on defending them.

ringringringringringring · 09/06/2017 13:24

I don't agree with the DUP on many (any) things but they were never terrorists or never officially endorsed terrorism (although you could argue they did unofficially).

Oh yeah, sure the Ulster Resistance, with it's founding members in the DUP, only ever circulated petitions.

MrsSthe3rd · 09/06/2017 13:25

YANBU

Desperate and hypocritical spring to mind.

Creatureofthenight · 09/06/2017 13:26

YANBU.
Luckily for the Tories most people outside NI know bugger all about the DUP, and I don't expect the right wing media will be rushing to educate them.

user1495832570 · 09/06/2017 13:28

YANBU.

OliviaPopeRules · 09/06/2017 13:28

ring I did say officially

EpoxyResin · 09/06/2017 13:28

YANBU.

I've had the feeling on other threads though that people blaming the left for this turn of events; which is baffling. Every single step of this sorry saga has been instigated and exacerbated by the Conservative government. Referendum, anyone? GE? And THEY are the ones who buddied up with these cretins, let's not lay responsibility for this without anyone else.
