I bought new knickers yesterday...

Really comfy ones. You know the kind, big, soft and stretchy, unflattering as hell. DP thinks they're hilarious. I quote 'you're wearing acres of knicker'.
AIBU to think men don't realise how lucky they are that ALL men's pants are comfy, save the odd novelty thong?! Don't get me wrong, I like a French knicker and I'm partial to the odd tiny pair of lace pants, but nothing beats the comfort of really big, stretchy pants.

Disclaimer: This is lighthearted. Really.

Polo neck knickers, smashing.

Hotheadwheresthecoldbath · 07/06/2017 14:05

My pet hate is those people who have their things showing over the tops of their low rise jeans, much worse than vpl.

Hotheadwheresthecoldbath · 07/06/2017 14:05

Thongs,dam auto correct!

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/06/2017 14:09

I always remember years ago a man (not my boyfriend, just one of the crowd) confided to me,

"Us blokes hate those bikini briefs you all wear most of the time."

Thankfully your old boyfriend does not speak for the majority of men Wink

Some French knickers can be sexy, sure, but to try to pretend that the male population doesn't like thongs on women is, frankly, ridiculous.

29Palms · 07/06/2017 14:22

Oh dear, Miss Smug is back. Go back to admiring yourself in the mirror, dear.

MiddlingMum · 07/06/2017 14:23

As I've got older, my knickers have got bigger and far, far more comfortable.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/06/2017 14:27

29Palms Oh yes, sorry. I forgot you don't like to hear the truth Grin

MoominFlaps · 07/06/2017 14:36

My DP says they gross him out. I've had a fair few exes who have said the same.

He's not fussed about underwear in general. Prefers me naked Grin

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/06/2017 14:42

Again, a few people here and there saying they do not like X does not mean the majority doesn't either.

Msqueen33 · 07/06/2017 14:43

I'm thankful my dh doesn't seem to care. I wear midi's from m&s. £3 for a tenner and so comfy. Anything else doesn't fit right and at a size 16 I'm not sure I could do a thong.

nannybeach · 07/06/2017 14:51

No, you cannot say all mens pants are comfy, mine says he cannot stand cotton boxers (not the stretchy) type because when you go round a corner in the car, "everything" flops out onto your leg!

SapphireStrange · 07/06/2017 14:56

Is my DP really unusual? He has never, in 20 years, commented on or laughed at the size of my knickers! I don't think I wear enormous ones, but neither are they skimpy, thongs, or French 'sexy' ones (I don't like those, personally).

I tend to go for Gap or Bonds in good prints or bold colours, like this:

Are they 'big'? Genuinely don't know...

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/06/2017 15:03

Are they 'big'? Genuinely don't know...

I don't think I'd call them big; I think they're just standard knickers!

MargotLovedTom1 · 07/06/2017 15:09

So how exactly do you know what the majority of men like WhatToDo? Have you asked them all?

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/06/2017 15:10

It's pretty universally known; I don't need to ask them all.

SapphireStrange · 07/06/2017 15:16

I'm glad WhatToDo, world's expert on What All Men Like, is here. I'm just compiling a list of questions to get the definitive and unarguable answers to.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/06/2017 15:17

I've never claimed to be an expert in men.

You can try to pretend men in general don't like thongs if it makes you feel better.

scampimom · 07/06/2017 15:27

Well, I guess you can try to pretend men in general don't like vain, self-absorbed women too if it makes you feel better.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 07/06/2017 15:30

i mostly wear the tesco seamless boy shorts in black, dh calls them SafetyPants.

@squeakymoo ...I was perusing ebay for some anti chubrub devices and found these the Discription {sic} is very amusing and I did wonder if I would ever see them, but they arrived, dh laughed but said he was glad my beauty fascinated would be protected and he looked forward very much to me showing my sexy

:o :o

I would wager men in general don't like vain, self absorbed women. Thankfully, that doesn't apply to me.

Quite frankly, I only really care what my DH likes. I just think it's a bit ridiculous to try to pretend men generally don't like thongs Hmm

Bumbumtaloo · 07/06/2017 15:40

I love big pants! I have actually just bought some of the M & S ones.

I honestly cannot remember that last time I owned a thong let alone wore one.

When I was pregnant with dd1 I couldn't find any pants that were comfortable, I had HG and lost a lot of weight but still had my bump. In desperation I put a pair of DH's boxers on and lived in them until DD was born. And have never looked back Grin

I did buy a blue lacy pair for my wedding though - I wore them as my something blue Grin

MargotLovedTom1 · 07/06/2017 15:41

"It's pretty universally known."

Er....no it isn't! You're just completely making things up 😂.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/06/2017 15:44

Like I said, you can pretend to believe they don't if it makes you feel better Wink

Oysterbabe · 07/06/2017 15:46

I refuse to accept a comfortable thong exists and I've tried lots at a range of prices. Having a strip of material up your crack is just annoying as he'll, I constantly want to pull it out. Frankly I couldn't give a fuck what men find attractive.

MargotLovedTom1 · 07/06/2017 15:48

No, I just disbelieve someone who talks out of their arse, even if it is a size 8 and clad in a "sexy" thong Wink.
