AIBU to ask the woman next to me for her gherkin?

I'm in McDonalds and the woman next to me has removed the 2 pieces of gherkin from her burger and put them on the side.

God I want them. The best bit of a McDonalds. Maybe I can distract her then grab them.

Could you claim you're pregnant and craving them?

You can but be prepared for her to give you a funny look and/or move away.

She should have just asked for plain burgers, then she wouldn't have to fish them out. I'm the only one in my family who actually likes the gherkins.

Why not just ask for extra? You have to pay a bit more but not they'll happily do it.

Similarly, she should have asked for no gherkins! Loads of people do.

I'd give you all my gherkins. I hate them but always forget to order the burger without them so have to pick them out.

There's a sad story behind why I didn't ask for extra gherkins :(

The only time I asked for extra gherkins I think they misheard and I ended up with a plain hamburger in a bun with no gherkins and no sauce at all. And it had been at a drive through with no chance of going back. I'd rather the regulation 2 gherkins than risk none at all!

Asda do big jars of gherkins crinkle cut in a sort of sweet/sour brine. They taste exactly the same as the McDonald's ones. 😊
