If Pence takes office he's likely to appoint a VP. So would Ryan. I haven't seen anything in particular against Ryan, for example, so I don't think he'd be booted out.

How can you have a tape of something not happening? You can have a tape of a part of a conversation that didn't include that element but it could have happened earlier/ later or been cut out
