Being told this is what happened.
And having to ask Trump if it's true. Knowing it is true.
Then having to play it like this.

When will he just crack in the press briefing and tell it as it really is?

During WWII, for a long time we didn't share the fact that we and some clever Poles had broken the Enigma encryption, because the US leaked like a sieve.

And that was when the President of the US wasn't not the toy of an aggressor country.

Looks like we might have to go back to those days. Even if it wasn't the UK's intelligence that was leaked this time, it could be next time.
