I really hope it's too late. Thatvthe juggernaut has momentum he can't stop

MrsT2007 · 13/05/2017 16:14

Mensch reporting Orrin Hatch already receiving briefings.

Wonder how much jfher stuff will prove accurate 6 months down the line be....

Worth reading.

MrsT2007 · 13/05/2017 16:19

Sorry. Fat fingers!!!

SenecaFalls · 13/05/2017 16:29

I wonder how many times Trump has actually been inside a church.

Roussette · 13/05/2017 16:30

This article says that his lawyers have asserted that he has little to do with Russian money in the last 10 years "with a few exceptions". If you read the article it is all smoke and mirrors as it explains how amounts aren't mentioned and the capability of running huge amounts to Trump but via other Companies is very likely.

money.cnn.com/2017/05/12/news/trump-tax-returns-russia/index.html?sr=twCNN051317trump-tax-returns-russia0320PMVODtopLink&linkId=37553820

However, him getting his lawyers to write this letter, to me, smacks of desperation

cozietoesie · 13/05/2017 16:30

If McCabe doesn't get the job - and he's likely on the list only because (I think) they legally have to put him on it - I take it he stays on as Deputy Director?

Lweji · 13/05/2017 16:32

Just returning to the thread.

Even Joe from Morning Joe is appalled at Trump and he is a Republican.

Any thinking Republican with a heart, and without ulterior political and career motives, can only be worried about Trump.

Lweji · 13/05/2017 16:33

If McCabe doesn't get the job - and he's likely on the list only because (I think) they legally have to put him on it - I take it he stays on as Deputy Director?

I read earlier that he would, but you never know.

cozietoesie · 13/05/2017 16:33

Oh - and by the way. Smile Anyone heard what Mattis is up to?

Not sure if this his has been posted before, but it's worth watching very and over again Grin

cozietoesie · 13/05/2017 16:41

It is. And over a million people have viewed it so far. Smile

cozietoesie · 13/05/2017 16:44

I think he'll stop them, Ginger. Bigly mistake though.

lionheart · 13/05/2017 16:45

They must be wondering how the GOP will recover from all this, let alone the poor USA.

cozietoesie · 13/05/2017 16:47

The GOP won't recover in my view. As for the USA?.................

cozietoesie · 13/05/2017 16:49

(I've already been thinking about the Aftermath.)

lionheart · 13/05/2017 16:51

Perhaps they will strengthen their 'checks and balances'?
I don't know what that will involve or whether there will ever be an agreement about what needs to be done..

cozietoesie · 13/05/2017 16:52

I smell the blood of a Constitutional Commission.

Dumdedumdedum · 13/05/2017 17:09

I'm not getting how this can be ended before the 2018 election? He is being allowed to get away with everything impossible and unheard of and has turned the American Presidency into a joke, an embarrassment, and yet is still in power and no-one seems able to take him to task and unseat him, as long as the GOP continues to back him. I really don't understand this (I may have mentioned that before). How can he still be safe in the White House, when he is clearly an undemocratic, brain-dead, idiotic, unscrupulous, megalomaniac, demented, dictator?

Lweji · 13/05/2017 17:10

I'm quite sure Trump will never rue anything he's done, because it will always be somebody else's fault - fake FBI directors, nasty media with their fake news, the GOP who made him do it..

Indeed.

From the Spicer replacement link, he is reportedly dissatisfied with several of his staff, when he is the one creating all the problems.

I felt sorry for Spicer on the clip of the same link, when he says they work day and night to give the most accurate information. I kind of believe him, and that Trump keeps pulling the rug from under them.

I suspect he will have trouble replacing his staff at this point. Unless any replacements are incredibly naive.

cozietoesie · 13/05/2017 17:15

I don't think it can be, myself, Dum. To end before would depend on a 'relinquishment' of power - and I doubt he'll do that willingly.

Lweji · 13/05/2017 17:19

GOP want revenge and to reverse everything Obama and the Democrats achieved in the last 8 years.
They need Trump for that, at least for now.

There's also quite a huge following that might rebel if they replace him with Pence so early on.

But I do think he won't finish his term.

cozietoesie · 13/05/2017 17:21

Lweji

Spicey chose this job and is currently covering up for 45. No need to feel the slightest bit sorry for him.
