DH - What did he have and has he still got it?

I don't mean to lower the tone on here, but I find it interesting how attraction can mean such different things to different people?
What attracted you to your DH/ DP and, perhaps more importantly, did it last or maybe evolve into something else?

His quietness yet approachability.
How respectable he was.
How silently funny he was.

The opposite of any boyfriend I had before.

I also liked his hair, height and chest if we are talking looks specific.

I have NO IDEA, I'd known him for years before we got together (he was my boss) and hadn't had any such thoughts about him at all.
We just gradually spend more and more time together at work and got emotionally closer, and found we gelled, and started flirting a bit.
By the time it actually happened I couldn't keep my hands off him and the feeling was mutual.
It was totally emotional attraction followed by physical attraction - by the time we got together I thought he was gorgeous, and I hadn't previously.
And the sex was always amazing.

Did it last?
YES
He recently died of cancer and towards the end his body was totally and utterly worn out.
I still thought he was gorgeous.

He put me back together when I was very broken, he's kind, considerate and never complains about my crappy chronic illness, and has the same immature sense of humour as I have.

Physically, he has huge muscly tattooed arms, the longest eyelashes and looks great (to me) in his cycling Lycra!

I love my dp humour he always makes me laugh and then he loves to add it 'are you having an oops moment' referring to the Tena lady advert as I always say stop making me laugh I need to pee, but that comment makes me laugh more as he says it in a funny way.

He is so supportive of me and if I say oh I look fat today he says things like ' there's enough people in the work who can put you down so don't do it to yourself,

He is so hands on with our dd and we both want more I guess we are totally on the same wave length and have grown up together

He was a cheeky bloke but friendly and easy to chat to. We had a lot in common. And he had a gorgeous smile (and a sexy bum). He was so protective of me but not in a controlling or annoying way, he still let me be myself.

Yes he's still the same. He's still cheeky (Although sometimes infind it annoying but that's me that's changed not him). He's still fast to chat to. We still have a lot in common although I've stopped certain hobbies after dc. He selling as his goreous smile and I still like to grab his bum. And he's still protective of me but now more so of dc.

Love this post. He is everything. Even 25 years later he is still the best man I know. He is confident, capable and a fantastic father. He makes me a better person

I believed in my wedding speech, I described my impressions of him from our first date as 'a personable, reasonably hygienic man who appeared to have all his own teeth' Grin

I love his smile, his kindness, the fact we can talk or not and still feel comfortable, and how utterly safe I feel with his arms around me.

my husband is quite funny. super smart but not arrogant. Good looking and can laugh at himself. He is better with the kids then i will ever be. He is loving and affectionate (sad for him that i am totally the opposite of affectionate!!) Still the same man today that he was 14 years ago.

He is still gorgeous but more importantly, is kind and devoted to us all. And he does all the cooking.

Black eyes and the way he looked at me.
Muscles in his shoulders and back.
Beautiful olive skin.
Deep, rumbly soothing voice.
Something about his hands.
Something about his neck and stubble.
His chest and just the right amount of hairyness - I still sleep with my head there.

Oh and his personality Blush His kindness and integrity and he was always a gentleman.
He's still got it at 45!
