AIBU re eating walnuts and butter

The man next to me on the train is eating walnuts by using them to scoop butter from a whole block which he has just opened. AIBU to find this odd?

I'm guessing we shouldn't knock it til we've tried it, but I'm also guessing nobody will come along volunteering to give it a go! Weird combo & even weirder place to tuck into a pack of butter. Mind you at least neither foodstuff is stinky, in that respect it's a fairly courteous if odd choice of snack

NormaSmuff pretty much, each mouthful is about 50% butter and 50% walnut. He's consumed about a quarter of a block of butter.

I'd eat walnuts dunked in butter. Not in public obviously but I'd give it a go. Butter makes all food 500% better.

Ah, could be the Atkins diet I suppose... he also has a small block of blue cheese which he is carefully cutting into cubes. He is very well-prepared: has a sharp knife and small sealable bags.

I had walnuts atop cubes of Cheshire cheese earlier. Butter wouldn't be as nice I don't think, but I'll give it a go and report back.
