That whole bit about voter fraud is completely bonkers. Hats off to the reporter for managing to keep a straight face through it. Whatever side you are on I don't know how you could have that conversation and not be sitting there with your chin on the floor.

PausingFlatly · 26/01/2017 18:12

Yes, I find myself agreeing with May about select things. Sometimes.

Which is healthy. I'm not going to agree/disagree with a politician on principal just because of which party they are.

But nor am I planning to hand out free passes if they've ever done one thing I liked.

BigBadgers · 26/01/2017 18:12

Possibly Spartacus, but there is also the Russian issue to think of. Surely we are thinking twice about sharing info with them anyway. This might be a useful political excuse for not handing over sensitive bits. I only heard it quickly on radio 4 so not sure if the details, but I think it was worded as withdrawing from some areas.

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:14

I have my bingo card ready for this speech...

Mexico wall, inauguration crowd, torture, traitor that Obama pardoned, and fake news....

what am I missing? Grin

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:14

I keep waiting for "I did not have sexual relations with that woman.... I just grabbed her pussy."

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:17

Nice to win, he says. So the bragging begins.

Roussette · 26/01/2017 18:17

Oh FFS. "Nice to win. Nice to win. Nice to win. ". When when when will he just shut up about the win. You've won you fat orange thing.

"Pennsylvania could not be won" He keeps talking on that... on and on and on....

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:18

FFS he is bragging about how he won Pennsylvania and such. Great victory. blah blah

Roussette · 26/01/2017 18:21

He's like some sort of stand up character. It's like a rambling speech from a minor sleb who's not used to public speaking.

This is a speech to leading Republicans. I have to say I honestly think the applause is muted. He likened the applause at the CIA to like a home win for a major basketball team. He'll probably say the same about this one. He has a problem with his hearing.

Lots of bumholes.

How great am I, how great am I? No change here then .

ZebraOwl · 26/01/2017 18:22

That interview... Jaysus.

You know when they insisted on Senator Clinton publishing every last detail of her health records, pretty much; and this great eejit got a note without being examined from some randomer? Am q seriously wondering if he's some form of dementia or other neurological condition. I mean, he looks like he might have a heart attack at any minute, is it possible multiple TIAs have caused brain damage?

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:23

Yes, we've given power to the people... oh, and reinstated the Mexico City Policy - the first step in taking power over their own bodies away from women.

Hahahaha now he's whinging about how the women's march got publicity but their right to life "pro-life" march won't. Not fair. Whinge.

Roussette · 26/01/2017 18:23

Now on about the media again. Fake news. Crowd numbers blah blah blah...
Is this going to go on for four years? I might be alcoholic by then if I keep listening Wine
He's trying to work the crowd, it's very unpresedential Grin

They're going to reduce regulations for businesses (my understanding is there will be a lot of health and safety regulations quashed).

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:25

Oh my god - this 30 day thing? How deluded is he?? There is no way any country will agree with that.

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:26

I don't have my commerce secretary and Uk wants to talk trade. I'll have to handle it myself, which is okay.

I suspect that is a backhanded comment about her being a woman and he can deal with it.

Kaija · 26/01/2017 18:26

I do think dementia is a distinct possibility, if not likelihood.

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:27

whooop! here's the talk about the mexican border.

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:27

bahahahahaa he's going to blow NAFTA out of the water, isn't he? Not too clever, as the US does benefit from it.

Roussette · 26/01/2017 18:28

I think the spray tan has gone a bit wrong. White eyes, orange face.

Hahaha... he says the Mexican Pres and him have agreed together to cancel next week's meeting. Does he think people haven't seen the twitter war??

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:28

This is like a campaign speech. WTF??? Nothing new here. Just recycled campaign messages. applause is very sparse.

Bitofacow · 26/01/2017 18:29

www.washingtonpost.com/news/josh-rogin/wp/2017/01/26/the-state-departments-entire-senior-management-team-just-resigned/?utm_term=.2e864be6bbab

The State Department’s entire senior management team just resigned

OK that really is a bad week.

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:29

Yeah - I noticed that. We've agreed to cancel the meeting. What utter bollocks.

GingerIvy · 26/01/2017 18:29

He is going to be taken apart over that one comment. alternative facts.

Spudlet · 26/01/2017 18:30

I can't bear to listen to him, please keep summarising, oh yes of stronger stomachs than me Blush
