Yes I think she lowered the tone and was trying to be controversial

Formerpigwrestler9 · 22/01/2017 01:16

I'm actually quite ashamed of the way May is cosying up to him so eagerly
I think it's best to humour him right now, and we should stay on good terms with America, that means having a good relationship with the President

Formerpigwrestler9 · 22/01/2017 01:21

Yes I think she lowered the tone and was trying to be controversial
give me the impression that her first priority was to promote her brand, maybe I'm seeing it wrong but her attempts to be controversial made me wince

SinisterBumFacedCat · 22/01/2017 01:24

I'm 1000% behind you.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 22/01/2017 01:32

it's all so entertaining, so surreal

Lweji · 22/01/2017 02:03

Watching the CIA speech and listening to them laughing. Was it with him or at him?
We should have kept the oil. Laugh. Hmm

Lweji · 22/01/2017 02:04

It looks like intellectual and academic Grin Trump may have forgotten the huge Vietnam victory.

Lweji · 22/01/2017 02:18
, not campaign ramblings or an ego trip.

It's GREAT that this thread has been brought back. We will bring back our threads. We will bring back our penis beakers. We will bring back our naice ham, and we will bring back our DREAMS!

Ah but Theresa May is very clever as in keep your friends close but your enemies closer & give them enough rope to hang themselves. She'll probably accidentally on purpose stab Trump with her least favourite pair of kitten heels.
Seriously I'd rather have Kanywe West as President or Boris Johnson (he was born in the USA.)
Maybe Hillary can be convinced to re-run in 2020 or perhaps Will Smith as everyone likes him & he sorts the bad guys out. (I've just finished watching I Am Legend.)

I am still confused about his press secretary's press conference. It literally addressed the whole topic of the news media, saying that there were actually record numbers attending the inauguration and that the media had provided fake pictures and reports to make it look like there were less people when actually it was the most ever. Record numbers. And that was it. He took no questions. Apparently he didn't mention the women's March.

You'll note the news media didn't air this live. I'd like to think they are very uneasy about the direction this is going. It's like he expects the entire world to accept his version of what happened despite proof to the contrary,

And I suspect he thinks if he doesn't mention the women's march then it just didn't happen. It is a bit frightening IMO. I wonder when he will attempt to invoke Marshall law and retain power, suspending elections or political change.

I'm 1000% behind you.

Yep, he actually said this. It would be funny if it wasn't true.

FarAwayHills · 22/01/2017 08:02

There's reality and then Trumps reality. His first day in office and he's mostly bothered about how many came to his party compared with Obama. It's worrying that his advisers just go along with him.

BigBadgers · 22/01/2017 08:13

The media are liars and losers. The rain was FAKE! There was no rain! Those weren't rain ponchos they were super elegent We Love Trump top of the range, best quality jackets that everyone wore because the love me so much. Everyone in the whole world turned up for my inauguration, the media just distracted them with free ice-cream on the other side of the block before they took the picture, so it looked like nobody was there. It is LIES!!! And there were NO PROTESTS everyone loves me except 3 people who wore different hats and moved around really fast so it looked like there were more people. And the LIARS at the rail network are stupid and wrong and released totally wrong figures about how many people arrived because they are jealous of my big cars!!! And if anyone says otherwise I will shut down your newspaper for being FAKE NEWS!!!

GingerIvy · 22/01/2017 08:20

Just watched the video of the press secretary's statement on bbc news site. Feel like we've been shown a window into an alternate reality. And I note one line was mentioned about the women's march (and he couldn't even bring himself to actually SAY women's march as if that would be acknowledging it) and that one line was dedicated to saying they couldn't give accurate numbers for how many were at the inauguration Friday or there yesterday. Then he proceeded to explain how they figured out how many (record numbers he said) were there. Defies logic. They said there were record numbers - more than at any inauguration ever. He sounded very angry. I wonder if he likes his job as press secretary.

Roussette · 22/01/2017 08:24

They're all deluded! I watched Sean Spicer, WH press secretary say that it was the biggest attendance at an inauguration... what bollocks! Supporters have said on Twitter that the DT pic is early in the day and the 2009 one later. So someone linked a pic of 12 noon, time stamped etc showing the lack of crowds. The bus tickets sold were half as many on inaugaration day as March day... how can they argue with facts. And DT threatening the Press saying "they will pay".

I agree with you Ginger it is scary. It's like a dictatorship. Ignore the news, massage the figures , deny deny deny and do anything to cling onto power.

A couple of my fav quotes from the CIA speech. The guy is mad as a box of frogs:

“God looked down and, and he said we’re not going to let it rain on your speech.. . .The truth is it stopped immediately.”

“They say, ‘Is Donald Trump an intellectual?’ Trust me. I’m, like, a smart person.”

Ummm, yup. Just like a 'smart person' Donald. You just keep telling yourself that.

GingerIvy · 22/01/2017 08:28

If there are any perceived threats to the US, I predict he will invoke Marshall Law. I think it's only a matter of time.

HateSummer · 22/01/2017 08:28

"We shoulda kept the oil....maybe we'll get the chance again"
😡😡😱
This has made me SO angry. I wonder how the Iraqis will react to that comment. The fucking dickhead. He needs to be removed.

originalmavis · 22/01/2017 08:29

I was listening to the waffling if bloody edwina curry ( the protesters yesterday are 'losers' according to her) but it did cheer me up when she says 'of course he will be impeached '.

Sorry guys, I thought you were all telling LIES about the 'biggest turnout eveeeeer' and 'rain what rain, no rain here'. I heard the speeches this morning and wondered if it was a comedy skit.

I just don't know what's the these days!

GingerIvy · 22/01/2017 08:31

I don't think he will acknowledge the women's march because that also acknowledges issues that he feels are not issues.
