Wondering if we could have a compassionate thread about UK mothers being told by they may have to leave the country, despite having brought up families here.

To apply rules retrospectively, especially by years, isn't right though. To say that these rules apply from x date in the future, fine, but from x date 5 years ago (or whatever date in the past), not fine and morally wrong.
