Just thinking about it: can you imagine being the butler/maitre d/housekeeper/chamber maid etc at the White House and facing your employers changing from the Obamas to Don and Mel? I really do think they will have trouble hanging on to the domestic staff over the next few months Grin

No, not a Hilary supporter here either! Confused

RepentAtLeisure · 11/11/2016 01:05

I read that every new President has the option to redecorate the White House. I wonder if it will be the first time the White House sees fake marble, gold lamé and leopard print soft furnishings, and friezes on the ceilings?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 11/11/2016 01:16

Very nasty OP.

SenecaFalls · 11/11/2016 02:04

I did vote for Hillary Clinton and also donated to her campaign, and I find Donald Trump deplorable, but I agree with others that the original post is quite nasty.

SilentBiscuits · 11/11/2016 02:19

No love for Melania here. But I'll reserve my vitriol for her orange shambles of a husband.

Janey50 · 11/11/2016 02:30

I can't help thinking that Melania is going to be way out of her depth as First Lady.

Theaspizzashop · 11/11/2016 02:42

"Mel-an-ee-a? I heard Mel-ah-nee-a today. Melanie I could cope with. " How ignorant childish OP. You'll woo enough learn how it is pronounced but picking on her foreign name is as fucked up as trump's apparent racism you are not coming across terribly well OP.

" I really cannot see MELANIA as any kind of First Lady in the mould of Michelle - unless she can find a few more speeches to plagiarise." And why should she. MO seems intelligent and classy, if these traits impress you, try emulating them instead of bitching about a woman you don't know because that is neither. I am gutted at the trump winning but really wha a horrible threat. have reported.

Baylisiana · 11/11/2016 03:06

I wasn't a fan of either, but I am a Clinton supporter when the opponent is Trump, yes.

Pluto30 · 11/11/2016 03:14

Despite all of the sexual abuse allegations leveled at Bill Clinton, and her decision to stand by him (and enable it, as the victims have said)?

Baylisiana · 11/11/2016 03:38

Yes, unfortunately yes though I have real problems with her. I suspect Donald Trump to be at least equal to Bill in that respect so there was that, but mainly I felt that no matter what good points or flaws either candidate had, there was a bottom line they had to meet in terms of global security before anything else could be considered. Trump doesn't meet it and that should be disqualifying even to someone who supports him on other things. There are other reasons I believe she would have made a better president than Trump, but they are irrelevant in the sense that the comparison on basic global safety would have ruled him out already.

Baylisiana · 11/11/2016 03:41

I should add that DP would probably be a Republican if in the USA, he really dislikes the Clintons and absolutely believes Bill to be guilty of serial rape. However he agreed with me about the above and said he would have held his nose and voted for Hillary. Sad, but the choice was sad.

CorkieD · 11/11/2016 03:43

What a nasty OP!

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 12/11/2016 01:11

I'm disappointed this thread has not been deleted.

EverySongbirdSays · 12/11/2016 01:17

I'm also amazed it's still here Lass

SenecaFalls · 12/11/2016 01:35

I've reported it twice now. Maybe some other reports might at least get a response from MNHQ.

EverySongbirdSays · 12/11/2016 01:53

I've reported it also, but no response to reports made last night. I think it got "busy" last night and maybe got forgotten.

RortyCrankle · 12/11/2016 02:38

Horrible thread - I hope it gets deleted.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 12/11/2016 08:29

Maybe they are just catching up but I see the thread from last night where some one posted a picture of her husband and asked for comments has gone....

Manumission · 12/11/2016 08:34

Wow.

PurpleDaisies · 12/11/2016 09:08

I reported it when it was first posted. I guess it must have been deemed to be fine. Confused

Manumission · 12/11/2016 09:12

I hope not.

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 12/11/2016 09:16

It has taken this thread for me to notice that her name isn't melaina. That'll teach my brain to read what it thinks is there!!

saoirse31 · 12/11/2016 09:23

Nasty bitter post op. Beneath you.

derxa · 12/11/2016 09:35
