To think the Malteaser advert is in really poor taste

Just seen a Malteaser advert where a woman in a wheelchair is talking to 2 friend in the park about her date.

The jist is she had a spasm, he enjoyed the repercussions, and whilst demonstrating her hand actions the malteasers shoot out of the bag and go every where.

Is it me or is that really bad taste?

What have Nestle got to do with anything? Maltesers are made by Mars?

Cadbury bans Flake ad from screens after deeming it too racy.

For more than 40 years its racy adverts have walked a fine line between suggestive and sexual.
Now it seems advertisers have finally gone too far after making a commercial for chocolate bar Flake too racy for Cadbury to screen.
The £1 million advertisement was based around the theme of temptation and showed a beautiful woman being seduced by a devil-like character.

It had been planned for a prime time slot but executives decided it was too suggestive and axed it.
Cadbury has now moved its multi-million pound budget for Flake away from long-standing advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi.
The firm said it scrapped the advert after research revealed it polarized opinion in focus groups.
Marketing director said: ‘Having researched it, we felt it wasn't working for our core target audience. You try things, but don't always pull it off and that's what happened here.’

The Malteesers advert with the 'simulated wanking' ( demonstrated with a bag of Malteesers ) is not only crude but particularly distasteful and unfunny - can you imagine this advert being performed and demonstrated by a disabled male talking about his girlfriend?
What worried me also was that 'children copy' - do we want to see our children copying these actions with a bag of sweets ? ( even though they are unaware of the 'hand job' connotations.
Just because it is performed by a disabled performer doesn't make it funny or 'in my opinion' permissible and acceptable.

I laughed. Girl enjoys a chat with her friends. Yeah she's disabled but can laugh and joke.

To be honest, what I took from it was people with disabilities have EXACTLY the same sense of humour as an able bodied person and they may have the same sexual desires and can be in the same relationships and friendships as an able bodied Person.

I have a disable friend and this is kind of the way we speak to each other. Life's too short to be hung up on this sort of thing.

I'm sure you girls (disabled or not ) talk about all sorts of things ( in private ) I just don't think a simulated wanking of a bag of malteesers is what I want to see - be as crude as you want in your own homes.

Who cares if they are disabled - would the same advert be tolerated by an able bodied person OR a man ?
