Swearing on Mumsnet

Just a simple and maybe even a silly question - but why do people swear on Mumsnet? It just often makes peoples comments come across as so aggressive.....the swearing could so easily be avoided...and the comments come across as more considerd. I am interested to read what others think.....Thanks loads folks....XXX

Surely one of us even has a tattoo that drinks pints? Not me, I am too chicken for tattoos. Also too lightweight for pints these days. I like gin, though.

SexLube Grin

Nowt wrong with a fluffy cunt.

Thinking about it...

WANKBADGERS would be fluffy.

Cockwombles would be fluffy.

So would cuntweasels, though less so when wearing their lederhosen.

(My phone believes that WANKBADGERS should be capitalised. I'm indulging it.)

Twirlywoooo · 29/06/2016 22:12

I thought I recognised the OPs name.
She is the bawjaws who thinks that parents of children with autism create their situation and that autistic behaviours & traits can be helped with discipline & strict routine.

If this is true, then I second the 'do fuck off dear'' and as a parent of a child with AS, I'll add in a twatbadering thundercunt.

So yeah, do fuck off dear, you twatbadgering thundercunt.

Twirlywoooo · 29/06/2016 22:13

Cunting iPad keyboard.

Epic bold fail.

Anniegetyourgun · 29/06/2016 22:14

I have an extensive vocabulary, thank you very much. I choose to extend it further by adding expletives as and when I deem appropriate. This is a talk board on which people, like, chat 'n' stuff. And sometimes they swear. Of course it's not necessary. But then again, it's not necessary not to.

As for the non-point raised by the poster with the ghastly name, some of the most respected, sensible and kind posters around here don't have children. It is not, nor should it be, a prerequisite to opening your beak in these here parts. We also have blokes btw. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Oh, almost forgot to say: Fuck. Just because I can, and yes, it's childish. When was the law passed that said adults can't be silly?

TanTanNubuck · 29/06/2016 22:15

Shitgibbon! Grin that's an immediate addition to my vocabulary.

'fluffy'? fuck that

I get the rage when people feel the need to self censor on MN eg sh!t and c*ck. What the fuck is that?
And I'm another who find the xxx's irritating.

PortiaCastis · 29/06/2016 22:17

Asterisks are knacker thrashers

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 29/06/2016 22:20

Twirlywoooo · 29/06/2016 22:21

Pondering...

SpaceDinosaur · 29/06/2016 22:22

There are several Europeans who now use the term 'wankbadger' purely thanks to me. I'm proud of them.

PortiaCastis · 29/06/2016 22:37

Knacker thrasher is just a phrase I picked up somewhere. Good insult i feel !
This is a ditty my dds bf appraised me of
The angle of the dangle is inversely proportional to the fall of the ball
Provided the throb of the knob is constant. Grin

Janey50 · 29/06/2016 23:52

A study has proved that people who swear when angry,or when they hurt themselves, are generally heathier and suffer from less stress-related problems. So there.
