Okay so I've been feeling like there's something in my house lately, get the feeling I'm being watched and mentioned this to a friend who goes ghost hunting, who told me to try and communicate with it. I've got this week off work and home alone, so thought it was the best time to try as don't want to scare anyone.

I called out to it and a few moments later the delivery driver knocks on the door, pure coincidence or is this thing using real events to respond to me? Oh also I woke up this morning and tap was running?? I'm a light sleeper so would know if it was dh or dd in middle of the night. I feel quite uncomfortable sat here am I being paranoid?

You sound like you want there to be a ghost in your house because your reasons for believing there is sound insubstantial. Put it this way, if there was a ghost, it is not really trying to bother you is it? Do you want a new ghostly friend?

Ghosts absolutely are real, I've been contacted by one before and anyone saying otherwise should be more accepting of others who have had an experience!

You maybe could do with seeing a doctor if you actually believe that there's a ghost in your house that can control delivery drivers.

I don't know if I believe or not, I do think that if they do exist, they're not likely to be sentient.

There is not a shred of scientific evidence that ghosts exist. All we have is people randomly stating they've seen one and expecting us to believe them. I'm not saying that people who claim to have seen them are lying, just that there is probably some scientific explanation. For example, I swore blind I saw a ghost when I was very little. I remember it very clearly. I was also feeling ill and woke up (or did I?) during the night when it happened. I've since put it down to having a dream but feeling awake/ hallucinations from ill health.

What do you think this ghost is trying to tell you? 'I can pretend to be a delivery driver'? 'I can turn on taps'? - seem like rather pointless thing to come back to the world of the living for.

More likely is that you had a delivery and your tap leaks.
Your 'evidence' of a ghost is flimsy to non-existent.

Swear I just heard the cat flap go and don't even have a cat am shitting myself to be honest, may have to get in touch with local priest just for peace of mind even if it is just me I think, better to be safe right?

Look buildings creak. Things, like birds, animals, other people may watch you (the magpies noticed me watching them today and flew off). We share the space we live in.

If there are spirits around they are used to people being there. Focus on something else, you will soon find you forget about ghosts.

By all means talk to a priest, they will be able to talk to you about spirits (although try a Catholic one as many of Protestant ilk do not believe in ghosts of dead people) and pray for you.

Was the delivery driver a ghost?

Lol First, I had a cat last year, she died. Dd likes to use it now if she fancies from fresh air. Nothing happened since last post, I'll see over the next few days if anything suspicious happens and will talk to dh about it.
