AIBU to find Kate Middleton really annoying ? It's probably just me but I find her so smug. Anyway feel much better for getting that off my chest !!!

YABU, you don't know and she could be lovely. She might not be but as you don't know her it doesn't affect you. There is a TV presenter who I find particularly annoying so I choose not to watch programmes with them in, problem solved :)

squidzin · 27/09/2015 14:23

And tried to set up charities.

Imustgodowntotheseaagain · 27/09/2015 14:23

Hi Northern, when was the prison visit? I'm looking the the Court Circular which notes a visit to the Anna freud Centre but no prisons. Happy to be corrected, as I put in my post.

MNetter15 · 27/09/2015 14:24

It's a small price to pay for her very privileged life, IMO.

Alisvolatpropiis · 27/09/2015 14:27

She doesn't bother.

I save my ire for people like Kerry Katona and Peter Andre et al who use their children for publicity and come across as thoroughly shit parents.

shoopshoopsong · 27/09/2015 14:27

I like her soley for the reason she has made hyperemesis more widely acknowledged as a real thing. Apart from that I couldn't give a shit either way

Imustgodowntotheseaagain · 27/09/2015 14:27

Thanks! That ticks my 'worthy cause' box, though I'm sure she doesn't give a shit Grin

squidzin · 27/09/2015 14:29

MitzyleFroot
Fucking hell. How contrived. If anything is going to make you feel more depressed and more like taking drugs, it's meeting someone like that who perpetuates the notion that being born rich is the most important thing.

Imustgodowntotheseaagain · 27/09/2015 14:31

In another un-sought opinion, I think she should wear her hair up more often. She did look lovely in the christening pics.

Shame show couldn't do the same with breastfeeding.

DisappointedOne · 27/09/2015 14:37

*she

Cerseirys · 27/09/2015 14:38

I'm sure she's a pleasant enough person but it's a shame she seems to have had just about every ounce of personality squeezed out of her by the Royal Family. Even her fashion choices now are far more conservative than they were a few years ago and they seem determined to turn her into the Stepford Duchess, which is a shame. I thought Hilary Mantel's speech was spot on, although she was of course accused of jealousy etc etc.

She is probably terrified of putting a foot wrong

funnyperson · 27/09/2015 14:50

I don't care really. I do think Kate's father has done (understandably) well out of the whole thing, though I am surprised he hasn't been made an earl at the very least, given the tradition of feudalism. Kate herself is shamelessly used at every possible photo op by Camilla who always stands next to her on the balcony.

I liked Diana. I don't know why. I still miss her. Wearing a hat in a minefield, saying intensely 'there are three in this marriage', too much eyeliner, dancing with Travolta, being taller than Charles: getting depressed and visiting hospitals at night: all that stuff: she was magic.
I know none of them personally of course.

Sparklingbrook · 27/09/2015 14:51

I quite like the brother, James. He's going out with her off Byker Grove and has a business that revolves around marshmallows. Smile

Sparklingbrook · 27/09/2015 14:52

I miss Diana too. Don't know if that's allowed.

lastqueenofscotland · 27/09/2015 14:56

I just find her the human equivalent of a cornflake - theres not enough about her to like or dislike.

Multi-sensory marshmallows. What a twat.

Sparklingbrook · 27/09/2015 14:58

Explain the marshmallows to me, they have pictures on or something? it's not going well apparently.

Cerseirys · 27/09/2015 15:02

I reckon fair play to Ma and Pa Middleton as they've worked hard to establish their business, but James and Pippa do seem to have cashed in on their sister's fame. Multi-sensory marshmallows my @£5€!

Sparklingbrook · 27/09/2015 15:02

What does Pippa do?

ImperialBlether · 27/09/2015 15:03

So her parents should stay away from her? Really? She has a good relationship with them, doesn't she? And William seems to get on well with them. Why should them seeing their daughter be seen as cashing in on things? The fact is that the press follow all of them wherever they go. That's the problem, not that Kate Middleton sees her mum and dad quite often.
