So mumsnet have recently changed the option to highlight both OP's and your own posts in a specific colour. They claim that only 8% of posters use this feature and hence it's unneeded.

I and some others disagree Grin So please if you would, can you answer the following questions for me? Either to protest the change or to support MNHQ, I don't mind, just interested in this 8%. Copy and paste your answer.

No discussion of the issue (if possible) - there are already two threads in Site Stuff about it. If you want to discuss it, here's one: Link

So firstly:
Do you use the highlight posts feature?

If yes
Yes, I tried it, but I didn't like it.
Yes, I use it on the desktop and mobile site but not the app.
Yes and I would like to keep it.

If no
No, I didn't know that you could do this.
Not interested in a highlighting option.
Only use the app and it's not an option on there.

Ta very much :)

Moltenpink · 05/08/2015 15:56

Yes, I use it.

CrystalCove · 05/08/2015 15:58

I don't really mind what colours my posts are or OPs as long as they are highlighted. But I do like the lilac.

Pumpkinette · 05/08/2015 15:58

I use it. It's very helpful on long threads. I would very much like to keep this option.

I use it too. Please don't remove it.

SomewhereIBelong · 05/08/2015 16:00

I use it too.

BittersweetSymphony · 05/08/2015 16:00

Yes I use it and would like to keep it

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 05/08/2015 16:00

I use it, and do want to keep it, please.

UptheChimney · 05/08/2015 16:02

Yes, I use it on the desktop and mobile site but not the app (don't use the app).
Yes and I would like to keep it.

RustyBear · 05/08/2015 16:02

Yes, and I'd like to keep it.

The new app has OP's and my posts highlighted - not the actual text of the post but the name speech bubbles are different colours.

FrozenYogurt · 05/08/2015 16:04

Yes and I would like to keep it.

hibbleddible · 05/08/2015 16:05

Yes I use it and would like to keep it

BikketBikketBikket · 05/08/2015 16:05

Yes and I DEMAND to keep it (as it's the only way to follow long threads..!)

rightguard · 05/08/2015 16:05

Yes I use it and want to keep it. I want it on the app too.

BarrowlandBiddy · 05/08/2015 16:06

Yes I use it and would like to keep it.

I don't use the app at all anymore as highlighting isn't an option. The site is much more user friendly when it's available. IMHO.

Tattiesthroughthebree · 05/08/2015 16:08

Def want to keep it. It's still working for me.

SilentBob · 05/08/2015 16:08

I use it and would like to keep it.

I don't use the app as it was terrible the last time I did. (Crashing all the time, no pictures etc)

WayneRooneysHair · 05/08/2015 16:09

I use it, it helps a lot.

TheRealAmyLee · 05/08/2015 16:10

I need to know how to do this!

BeccaMumsnet · 05/08/2015 16:12

Hi all, Thanks for the feedback.

We just wanted to point out on this thread that we aren't removing this feature at all, we are setting default colours for the highlight but not removing the ability.

The new app will have a similar feature too. We will be keeping an eye on this thread, so please do keep giving us your thoughts.

crazykat · 05/08/2015 16:13

I use it on the mobile site and laptop and I'd like to keep it. It makes it much easier to follow a thread.

I'd love having the option on the app as I use it more than the mobile site. It's a pita having to scroll slowly through threads you've posted on to find where you last were, if your posts are highlighted it's much easier to find where you were

F475L4G · 05/08/2015 16:13

Ah, right. I do use the feature but have no preference what colour they appear.

kimistayingalive · 05/08/2015 16:13

No, I didn't know that you could do this.

PurpleDaisies · 05/08/2015 16:14

I suspect the vast majority of users aren't bothered about what colour the highlights appear.

magimedi · 05/08/2015 16:14

I want to be able to have OP's post & my posts highlighted in different colours & preferably not that vile shade of green.

I don't think it's a lot to ask of you & I'll give gin for it!
