To ask your opinion on this very important site issue?

So mumsnet have recently changed the option to highlight both OP's and your own posts in a specific colour. They claim that only 8% of posters use this feature and hence it's unneeded.

I and some others disagree So please if you would, can you answer the following questions for me? Either to protest the change or to support MNHQ, I don't mind, just interested in this 8%. Copy and paste your answer.

Do you use the highlight posts feature?

If yes
Yes, I tried it, but I didn't like it.
Yes, I use it on the desktop and mobile site but not the app.
Yes and I would like to keep it.

Not interested in a highlighting option.
Only use the app and it's not an option on there.

I haven't RTFT but I always use it - it was a revelation when I discovered it. Makes life a lot easier.

I don't even care if it has to be green, as long as the OP's shade of green and mine are different.

But this is shit. I like to skim read threads and keep confusing my own posts with the OPs.

I also think it should be the default - and not opt-outable. How on earth do people follow a long thread (where you've forgotten the OP's name) without it?

Not happy about the email thing at all. We're clearly not good at customising; MN is supposed to be anonymous; it's hardly discreet if emails are pinging onto my home screen announcing to the world that I'm on MN. And what if I'm a domestic abuse victim maybe watching other people's threads that address my issue. What if I don't remember to opt out, sign out, whatever. It makes a phone dangerous ...

Yes and want to keep it. I would probably use mumsnet less if this feature went as it's invaluable on long threads

I always use it. makes it much easier to read and to follow threads. Didn't realise there were plans to shelf it.
