To ask your opinion on this very important site issue?

So mumsnet have recently changed the option to highlight both OP's and your own posts in a specific colour. They claim that only 8% of posters use this feature and hence it's unneeded.

I and some others disagree So please if you would, can you answer the following questions for me? Either to protest the change or to support MNHQ, I don't mind, just interested in this 8%. Copy and paste your answer.

Do you use the highlight posts feature?

Yes, I tried it, but I didn't like it.

Yes, it's the reason I tend to log in, as it makes reading threads so much easier. Was really pleased to see it happened the other day pre-login, as I don't necessarily want to login if I'm just going to have a quick browse.

Yes I use it and want to keep it. How else would I get a quick update from the OP on a juicy thread!

I highlight the OP, but not my own posts. TBH I think I'd stop using the desktop site without the option to highlight, due to the general layout and colour scheme of MN. I like to see updates and posts from the OP easily and I can't be doing with searching for a user name out of hundreds of posts.

You can't highlight on the app, which is just one of the many things wrong with the app, but I've questioned that before and got nowhere...

just to be clear, they aren't doing away with the feature altogether are they? just with the option to choose what colour posts are highlighted in?

I wished this feature existed for yonks before I discovered that it did. I bet I'm not alone in that.
