To ask your opinion on this very important site issue?

So mumsnet have recently changed the option to highlight both OP's and your own posts in a specific colour. They claim that only 8% of posters use this feature and hence it's unneeded.

I and some others disagree Grin So please if you would, can you answer the following questions for me? Either to protest the change or to support MNHQ, I don't mind, just interested in this 8%. Copy and paste your answer.

So firstly:
Do you use the highlight posts feature?

If yes
Yes, I tried it, but I didn't like it.
Yes, I use it on the desktop and mobile site but not the app.
Yes and I would like to keep it.

If no
No, I didn't know that you could do this.
Not interested in a highlighting option.
Only use the app and it's not an option on there.

I didn't find out about it though until about a year ago when I was googling something and wound up at Netmums where it's default and I thought it was fab. Mentioned it to someone who told me it was possible here but that you had to set it...

I think it should be default! Definitely helpful in long posts where you don't realise it's the OP posting again (especially where people list their own issues in a post and you start to get confused!)

Essential for long threads where you might miss further posts by the OP in amongst all the bunfightery and 'RTFT's.

I use it on desktop, it's extremely useful.
I don't have it on my app, does that have to be separately customised? I'd assumed it just wasn't available.

I write software for a living. One of the challenges is to make useful features easily 'discoverable' on the UI. I would suggest that if there's low usage of this feature, it has more to do with people not knowing its available (or how to turn it on) rather than that it isn't wanted.

I like having my posts and the OP's posts highlighted in different colours. I am really missing this feature now.
