To ask your opinion on this very important site issue?

So mumsnet have recently changed the option to highlight both OP's and your own posts in a specific colour. They claim that only 8% of posters use this feature and hence it's unneeded.

I and some others disagree So please if you would, can you answer the following questions for me? Either to protest the change or to support MNHQ, I don't mind, just interested in this 8%. Copy and paste your answer.

Do you use the highlight posts feature?

If yes
Yes, I tried it, but I didn't like it.
Yes, I use it on the desktop and mobile site but not the app.
Yes and I would like to keep it.

No, I didn't know that you could do this.
Not interested in a highlighting option.
Only use the app and it's not an option on there.

Yes I like it, Yes i use the colour choices, Yes I want to keep it. Yes It is an important adaptation for ACCESSIBILITY reasons I can't read certain colour combinations. There will be others. An NO the standard dyslexic blue on yellow is my worse combo so seriously the ability to chose the colours was a HUGE help!

Yes I do, saves me having to remember the op's name & having to scroll backwards & forwards to find the Op's response.

I don't want emails when the op has posted either.

I fear changes will be here to stay and the stance will be that it is felt that overall the site has improved so put up or sod off.

God yes. I couldn't manage without at least the OP's highlighted. This is one of the several thousand reasons I hate using the app.

In fact, I think the OP's posts should be highlighted for EVERYONE. It might stop some of the stupid fuckers piling in on AIBU when the OP has taken advice.

Yes I use it and want to keep it - why would they want to remove it?

Only use the app and don't have the option.

YES and I'm completely lost without it now. It makes reading threads very hard as you can't recognise posts from the OP stariaght away. For someone who very often just read the OP's posts to form an opinion wo being influenced by others, it IS a real pain.
The feature is on on mobile abd desktop versions. Or arther WAS on both versions....

fleamadonna unfortunately no. They've removed it but apparently, it 'shouldn't have affected previosu users that should have kept the feature'. That is until we strated to customize our threads by unticking 'watch the thread you're on'....

Yes I would like the high lighted post, I use my mobile app all the time and this feature or some feature that would let me go straight to the posters post or mine would be a great help! X
