help for strikethrough please

just to say, mumsnet has been an amazing help for me for so long, and through the many dilemmas of my life.

just wondering if someone who has the time or inclination can help.

I have been trying to do the "strikethrough" on my messages for ages.
I have looked online, but still can't grasp the best way to achieve it.

can anyone help?

And if anyone is doubting HOW to use strikethrough because you're not great at understanding humour it's meant to be used when outlining what you're really thinking and "don't want to say"...but obviously you do really. Iykwim.

Yes, MrsTawdry. Don't use strikethru as you would brackets (for example).

It's to show how fucking genius witty and clever you are. Do not get the positioning of the strikethru wrong as it would no longer be witty and clever fucking genius. See? Just not funny.
