Who's friend had a DP in america and she went over there to have her baby and the OP was worried her friends DP and his mum were planning on keeping the baby?

Posting in AIBU because it was in here for a while and a few might remember.

I think she came back with baby and all was fine. I might be wrong though.

I remember that thread! I think the OP was the bridge dwelling type since their was a huge amount of inconsistencies , such as a home health visitor (non existent in US) and the DP threathning to take the friend to court for custody ( duh of course custody/visitation and divorce require a court order !)
According to OP the friend went back to visit DP with baby and she never posted to update.

There was a very recent thread that the OP hasn't come back to. It was very sad and worrying and to do with her 3 yr old dd and husband. I hope that op is okay. I think about that one alot.

I often think about a woman from the relationships board, her partner had left her and was trying to evict her from their home, he was stealing the furniture and mistreating the baby. I hope she's doing okay now.

On that thread the OP said her friend had the baby and then came home but everyone was concerned because he was massively controlling and insisted on calling and skypeing very frequently and didn't what her around others.
She planned to fly back to the states and the OP and her family were trying to convince her not to, but she went anyway and then the OP never came back with another update.

I was very Hmm about the thread, as another poster has said, there were a lot of inconsistencies, but I'm not sure if that was due to the story being fictional or just that the OP wasn't as close with the girl as she claimed and she was more a friend of a friend, and the OP was hearing all the info third hand so that was the reason for it not making too much sense.

GatoradeMeBitch was that the thread where the poster was quite young and the house was rented from the EXs parents?
She had originally posted because he had forced his way in and told her he was taking the tv.
He has a really awful mother who the OP was afraid would mistreat the baby as she had done before?

chocolate turns out she was a pescetarian and mil made her chunks of fish that are for fish pie.

They were bought like that in a bag so mil just cooked them up and served them (rather than add some potato and actually make fish pie)

WeAreEternal Yes! I felt so angry that her ex and his family were treating her like that. I think she became worried that she had put too much personal info on the site. I hope things settled down.

There's a few I always think about but the two that stick out.

The first the op had a baby and worked full time, very little was expected of her dp, he seemed to have an easy life. Anyway the dp came home drunk and assaulted her, he'd kicked her hard. She called police and he was arrested. She was being very strong on the thread despite her own parents taking the abusive dp into their home when the police released himShock

The other was a fairly recent where the Op caught her dh flirting and arranging a meet up with another woman via messenger. She'd resolved to leave but don't know if she did

That one recently were the OP was seeing some rich fella and shopped at Booths. It was like a Bridget Jones kinda thread. We all worked out it was some kind of short story. Was quite funny though. I was hoping for an update.

Did that poster ever come back and finish the story about what her friend had found out,
the one where they stopped at some camping site or something and her DP got up in the night and saw a ghost. Was freaked out enough not to tell her but ok to go back again for a holiday.
She said her friend had found out some things and she would tell us.

I think about the thread where the op had been assaulted by her husband in the doctors surgery, then went to a refuge with her two young children, she posted quite a lot for a while but I haven't seen her on here for months now, she seemed very vulnerable, I hope she got the help she needed and is in a happier place now

Far less sombre than some of these threads but the one I keep wondering about was the frozen fancy dress party. The mum of the birthday girl had texted everyone saying that there children were welcome to come in fancy dress but her daughter would be Elsa. There was much conjecture as to whether she meant nobody else was allowed to be Elsa and whether OP's DD should go as Elsa anyway.
