Whatever happened to the poster

Who's friend had a DP in america and she went over there to have her baby and the OP was worried her friends DP and his mum were planning on keeping the baby?

Posting in AIBU because it was in here for a while and a few might remember.

To make this more interesting, post your own 'what happened's to try and get updates!

Slightly more mundane but I occasionally wonder about 2 parkingesque threads.

One where a strange woman kept using the OPs driveway to do a 3 point turn when it was really unnecessary.

The other was the post when the OP bought a car and wanted to use her designated parking space and then found out that the landlord of an adjacent property had illegally let it with his flat.

RumbelowSale · 03/01/2015 19:07

The first one with the 3-point turner, was that the one where the op lived in a cul de sac so no real reason for her to be there, hung about a bit? I wondered if it was a DSS check up, not on the op but some neighbour? I know that they stake out a place where they think the benefit claimant isn't living as a single parent as claimed.

The other, where the op clearly owned the land would have been easy to resolve. The Garden Law forum's great for that. I've used them for info re:hedge disputes/overhanging trees etc. before(this is work related, btw).

Still saddened by the little girl, the snow globe, and her parents. Weren't they decided to write her a scolding letter from Santa spelling out just why she wasn't getting it? Bastards, or have I said that before? Horrible, horrible, sanctimonious Bastards...Angry

FayKorgasm

It was a very long running issue, the previous owners of the dog had been harassing the OPs friend for years, after it all kicked off with the OP, and she posted about it on MN, things calmed down because the OP contacted the police and they had a word with the previous owners.
They eventually came back though but it wasn't as bad.
Years later they are still a problem, the OP said her friend was planing to move soon (has done by now) and the previous owners don't known the new address, yet.

redexpat
After writing to them the school confirmed that someone had told the school that the OP had gone away for a few days, the teacher had also noted that the DS had been taking about plans to go away to that place soon so the school had decided that confirmed their 'tip off' and that the OP was lying about her DS being ill.
They refused to accept anything other than a doctors note and insisted that if the DS was really ill then the OP would have definitely taken him to the GP, despite the fact that it was just a tummy bug and the OP is a doctor herself, they were still sure the DS would have been taken to the GP if he was genuinely ill.
The school reported the absense to the local authority and the OP had to write to them and defend herself.
Fortunately they agreed that the school can't accuse a parent of lying without proof and declined to fine the OP, however the school demanded that the absence still be marked as unauthorised, with the LA allowed.
There have been other issues with the school since.

They were both my threads.

There was a lady on legal who had a relative pass away and she suspected someone had altered the will...

SoonToBeMrsB · 03/01/2015 19:20

Oh yeah, the poster who kept finding footprints in her bathroom - I forgot about that one! Did the OP ever find out what was going on?

Stealthpolarbear · 03/01/2015 19:21

aimlesslypurposeful I think that may have been me! Or at least I was sitting here thinking ooh that happened to me too...and I posted about it...ohh hang on
I'm afraid to say the answer is boring. It was under a pile of crap I think. Suggested many time but for some reason I couldn't see the lid for the crap.
I think tat was it anyway, if anyone remembers differently please correct me. I do remember the answer was dull and my stupidity though.

hollyisalovelyname · 03/01/2015 19:26

Was the thread where the woman was eating from a kitchen caddy a troll ?
So many kind Mumsnetters in that one.
Also the woman who was afraid she was being spied on in her bathroom at night.
When she entered bathroom she heard a 'switching on ' sound. I realky want to know the answer to that mystery.
Mrs. Martin a really regular poster disappeared. She suffered from depression. I hope she is ok. If you are out there Mrs. M, lover of Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream, do let us know.
There was another poster with an awful mil. She left her dh I think because he turned out to be horrible too.

GraysAnalogy · 03/01/2015 19:26

The woman who's cat was being kidnapped by the neighbours. She'd warned them time and time again and got the police involved but it never seem to get resolved (that I saw anyway)

I'd love to know if motherofdragons ever got to the bottom of the paranormal goings-on in her office. I think the last update had them waiting for the local exorcist- and still being scared shitless by Weird Stuff...

Nicola19 · 03/01/2015 19:40

Not a wonder what happened, but my top thread for 2014 was the EKL poster (elderly Korean lady). I loved that one so much.

AimlesslyPurposeful · 03/01/2015 19:53

Oh, I hope is was you Stealth then the mystery is solved and with a happy ending too!

BabeRuthless · 03/01/2015 19:55

Wasn't there a bit of a kerfuffle with the thread with the op who took her nieces in? I think she was basically accused of being a troll, denied that she was and a new thread was started on the adoption board. I might be wrong so apologies in advance if I am.

Nothavingfunrightnow · 03/01/2015 20:09

There was a thread in relationships some time ago by a woman who discovered via Facebook that her long distance boyfriend had been married. She saw wedding photos that had been taken a few days or so prior. She was devastated. Does anyone have an update? She sounded so crushed. I think of her every now and then.

davejudgement · 03/01/2015 20:15

I'm probably the one with the cat thieving neighbours. That will be resolved shortly when we move.

I was going to build a big fuck off cat run at the side of my house whereby they could see the cat but couldn't get their mits on it. We're moving instead and I can't wait.

I've had to keep the cat in for the last month as it was getting so out of hand, I didn't see him for three days. Then they would throw him out late at night and ring me up ordering me to let him in and look after him properly. I COULD IF YOU CUNTS WOULD STOP LOCKING HIM IN YOUR HOUSE AND FEEDING HIM!!!!!!!!

davejudgement · 03/01/2015 20:17

I forgot to add, this has been going on for about three or four years, so long I can't even remember

StilleNachtCarolling · 03/01/2015 20:22

There are three posters that I wonder about. One was the lady with the pristine bathroom that kept finding footprints and pubes on the bathroom floor - I seem to recall that she also saw someone in a balaclava hiding under her car or something?

Another is the lady who was in the process of buying a house with her 'D'P and went to a wedding where he and all his relatives etc were really nasty to her. She never came back to update as far as I know.

The other one is the lady who lived in a foriegn country (I think) and her husband was very abusive but she couldn't see a way out as she wasn't able to take her child(ren) out of the country. I can't remember the exact details but I'm sure people will remember the post.

Welliesandpyjamas · 03/01/2015 20:38

sharonthewasp we found a big outside bin of dog's poo in the garden when we moved in to our new house, and might have posted about it (although can't remember whether or not I started a whole thread about it!). Disgusting. We just had to tape it up and put it in the skip hired to get rid of all the other crap they left behind

cakedcrusader · 03/01/2015 21:24

Does anyone remember the thread with the op who sent sexy texts to her dh from a secret payg phone trying to catch him out and he had been replying without realising it was her? It got really complicated and then I couldn't find it anymore, if it was real I hope she saw sense and ltb!

Allstoppedup · 03/01/2015 22:22

Wasn't motherofdragons woo office thread shown to be some sort of publicity attempt for a book?

ZombieApocalypse · 03/01/2015 22:27

I still want to know what happened with the OP whose DH wanted to go off and be a football coach in some godforsaken bit of Africa.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 03/01/2015 22:32

Wellies I just searched for the thread and is was regarding the ops sisters house

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 03/01/2015 23:02

The poster who told her friend she and her DP were trying for baby, and the friend went mad. Eventually coming around to attack the OP and her DP, I think DP was kicked in the nads.

Wonder what happened there.

Watto1 · 03/01/2015 23:07

SqueakyChicken, I think I may be the poster who couldn't flush Mil's loo!

I have been visiting her house for well over a decade and I still can't do it Blush. For some odd reason, the flush is on the left, right up against the wall. I'm not left handed (although neither is mil and she manages just fine) and this, coupled with crap water pressure, means that DH has to deal with anything more than a wee. Fortunately, he grew up with this loo and has The Knack. Mil helpfully informs me that I should 'surprise it' Confused

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 03/01/2015 23:19

How do you surprise a loo?

Frizzcat · 03/01/2015 23:22

StilleNachtCarolling

I'm remember that lady who had been to the wedding and the dp's sister had shouted at her and the do said she had to leave Angry
I hope she got away, but my instinct thinks maybe not, she seemed so worn down.
