To have found Tamsin Grieg slightly mean on Graham Norton

Firstly she looked amazing, if a bit uncomfortable showing that level if Uber oiled flesh... Lordy Tamsin! I mean I have to tip my hat to how fit she is and how buff she looks although it did make me wonder about the maxim after 30 (or is it after 40) Either show arms OR legs not both.

BUT that story she told about her dad saying on his deathbed 'don't let yourself go like your mother did.' I guess is fine if you are an only child but Greig isn't. It seems massively tactless and Lots of people can't keep as buff as Greig at her age for all sorts of different reasons. I was surprised at how unkind she sounded.

Unkind? What about? You've completely lost me Confused

Babbit · 15/12/2014 12:47

I thought she was brilliant. Very funny and clever. Put the others in the shade.

ghostyslovesheep · 15/12/2014 12:49

Tabu and a tad creepy

SunnyBaudelaire · 15/12/2014 12:50

oh really who cares?
My dad has the hots for her, I must tell him to look out for her 'uber oiled' - oh please - limbs.

OsloGin · 15/12/2014 12:54

And why does it make a difference whether she has siblings?

maras2 · 15/12/2014 12:55

I still think of her as Debbie in The Archers.Loved her then when she was only a voice.Oh and YABU.

Nancy66 · 15/12/2014 12:56

eh?

So she told an amusing anecdote about her own family and you're worried about the impact it might have on viewers who have let themselves go a bit?

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

rollonthesummer · 15/12/2014 12:56

I don't understand your post at all? Are you her sister?

ilovesooty · 15/12/2014 12:57

I hate the words "mean" and "buff".
And why should anyone give a toss about maxims?

gilmoregirl · 15/12/2014 12:58

I haven't seen it yet but I am rather horrified by the whole death bed don't let yourself go like your mother on so many levels:

On my death bed I hope that I will have more important things to impart than comments on appearance

The poor mother - what a legacy! Knowing that your husband was so disgusted in her "letting herself go'(awful expression) that he commented on it from his death bed

Would he have made such a comment to a son? Doubt it. So misoginistic as well as superficial and hurtful

Yuck, I do not find that funny at all

DoJo · 15/12/2014 12:58

Genuinely don't understand your problem with her comment (as you've written it, haven't watched the show yet). Can you explain why you thought it was inappropriate and how it related to other people's ability or otherwise to be buff?

flowery · 15/12/2014 12:58

"the maxim after 30 (or is it after 40) Either show arms OR legs not both."

Never heard that one before. It is 2014 right?

aldinator · 15/12/2014 13:03

She wasn't showing her legs, the dress comes down to her knees.

TurnOverTheTv · 15/12/2014 13:05

What a bizzare post, am I being a bit thick? I have no idea what you're on about!

OddFodd · 15/12/2014 13:05

Surely if her dad said that, he's the 'mean' one, not her? And you, for slagging her off for what she was wearing (I've looked at a still - it's a perfectly normal LBD which is just above the knee when she's sitting down)

chocolatemademefat · 15/12/2014 13:08

Was she perhaps joking to get laughs?

Nancy66 · 15/12/2014 13:09

she looked fantastic and the story was funny.

Passamaquoddy · 15/12/2014 13:09

Noelle, I have to agree.

Her comment about what her father said on his deathbed has stayed with me since she said it. What about her mum? How would she/did she feel about that??

Agree also about the too much flesh thing.....when Nicole sat next to her, you could see who was naturally more beautiful, flesh or no.

ExitPursuedByABear · 15/12/2014 13:12

I Normally really like her, but I was a bit surprised by her appearance.

TheSpottedZebra · 15/12/2014 13:13

So if you're not as attractive as Nicole Sherzinger, you ought to wear what- a shroud?

aldinator · 15/12/2014 13:14

And if we're not blessed with natural beauty we should cover up?

Alisvolatpropiis · 15/12/2014 13:14

It's legs or boobs not both, op.

Passamaquoddy · 15/12/2014 13:15

No you should not wear a shroud.

I though Nicole looked a lot more classy.

Passamaquoddy · 15/12/2014 13:15

And less 'try too hard'

Passamaquoddy · 15/12/2014 13:16

Compared to Tamsin - Nicole looked like she was wearing a shroud!
