Tinsel or baubles first?

This question has nearly ended my marriage today. Personally I think it's completely obvious. So AIBU to say OF COURSE you put the tinsel on first. Otherwise it obscures the baubles. Silly man.

Lights then tinsel then baubles.

Obviously tinsel first. It goes in between the branches near the trunk to make the tree sparkly.

I agree with TRC - lights first (because they need to be plugged in so have to be arranged to accommodate that), then tinsel (because otherwise you'll have to weave it in between other decorations, then a stiff drink, then whatever you can still find after you have drunk too much decorating the tree...

Yes, sorry. Obviously lights go on first but THEN tinsel, then baubles. (You people with no tinsel - where's your Christmas spirit? A Christmas without sparkly tat is no Christmas at all).

I decorated my tree today. Lights, tinsel and then baubles.
I managed to get 11 pieces of tinsel on my tree. You can barely see any green!

Leaving aside debate as to whether or not one should actually use tinsel, there is only one logical way to do it: 1. Lights 2. Tinsel or garlands 3. Baubles.

No, YABU, first the lights, then all the decs go on, then the tinsel. If you put the tinsel on first, it will mask twigs in which a bauble would look good. Not that we have any tinsel on ours as I am not keen on it, too reminiscent of my childhood.
