love it and after contributing to a thread today where some posters felt that girls need to learn to deal with being told to "suck my cock" I feel it's timely.

I saw this earlier- Love the bit about instead of telling girls what to wear- tell boys not to f**king rape.

Bibasbottom · 23/10/2014 19:37

Saw this the other day.

Fucking brilliant!!!

ClapHandsIfYouBelieveInFatties · 23/10/2014 19:37

It's a bit heartbreaking when they cound 1, 2, 3, 4l 5 "which one of us?"

LiverpoolLou · 23/10/2014 19:45

I hate it. Any message is drowned out by the pointless swearing in my ears.

diddl · 23/10/2014 19:48

I hate it.

Just seems wrong.

I'm sure that they could have found another way of getting the message across.

Actually all I saw was a lot of make up & all I heard was "fuck..."

NoArmaniNoPunani · 23/10/2014 19:49

I love it too. If you are more offended by the swearing than the problems they are raising then you have issues

ClapHandsIfYouBelieveInFatties · 23/10/2014 19:50

the swearing is merely to gain attention AND to point out that it is far LESS offensive than women getting paid less still...in this day and age!

OP posts:
Mascaramascara1 · 23/10/2014 19:52

Hate it. Just awful.

ClapHandsIfYouBelieveInFatties · 23/10/2014 19:53

MAscara are you equally offended by the issues raised though?

BlueberryWafer · 23/10/2014 19:56

I can't decide whether I love this or hate it. I do think it gets the message across, especially the 1,2,3,4,5 bit. I think I love it but the swearing from such young girls makes me feel slightly uncomfortable (I know that's the point, I'm just saying how it makes me feel). However it portrays a very strong message.

Hulababy · 23/10/2014 19:57

I hate the messages they are giving out - the inequality, etc.

But I also really don't like the swearing approach either. Obviously the swearing is less offensive than what the messages are but I still don't like the swearing.

ClapHandsIfYouBelieveInFatties · 23/10/2014 19:58

You hate the messages Hula WHY? Confused

OP posts:
Vivacia · 23/10/2014 19:58

My initial impression is that I don't like it. I think it's all of the bobbling about and adult anger...

Thebodynowchillingsothere · 23/10/2014 19:58

Silly way of addressing these issues.

My teen dds hated it too as just shown it to them.

Think it's been made by middle aged types who still think swearing is shocking to be honest.

Thehedgehogsong · 23/10/2014 20:03

I loved it! I think it addresses the idea that women 'shouldn't' swear too, and especially loved the lad at the end.
I wish I could share it at school (teacher) tbh, but our kids already say fuck too much...

Greydog · 23/10/2014 20:03

It's dreadful. And it's not been made to pass on a message - it's been made to make the company that makes T shirts money.

pictish · 23/10/2014 20:03

Very good. I like it.

bodhranbae · 23/10/2014 20:05

Not sure why this is an either-or-situation.
It is possible to thoroughly approve of what they are saying and what they are trying to achieve but still think the swearing is iffy because it will alienate the very people than need to listen.

I swear like a fucking bastard all the time. This has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with age.
I am sure the smallest of those girls haven't a clue what they are saying.
All starts to tip into exploitation which is what this whole thing is setting out to avoid isn't it?

Still lots of people will play it on the internet and maybe some of the content will trickle through. And yeah the 1, 2 3, etc was deeply disturbing.

Thebodynowchillingsothere · 23/10/2014 20:10

Surely to god it's not actually them who are swearing? Assumed it was voiced over.

That's disgusting and fairly abusive in itself.

BornToFolk · 23/10/2014 20:10

I feel the same as Blueberry - I can't get to grips with how I feel about it. On the one hand, I totally agree with the messages and I love seeing little girls being empowered and it's clearly getting people talking about feminism. But on the other hand, it really grated to hear small children using adult language and attitude.

I think my problem with it is that the children were being used as mouthpieces to raise issues that they can't possibly understand, IYKWIM. It's also being used to sell t-shirts, which makes me uncomfortable.

BlueberryWafer · 23/10/2014 20:12

Hmm never thought of it that way, bodhranbae. I agree it is tipping into exploitation because they have no idea what they are saying, and so in effect are being told to say words deemed inappropriate by many to convey a message.

Thebodynowchillingsothere · 23/10/2014 20:12

Sorry clap totally understand and support the concept of bringing all of these issues to the fore but this video is vile.

scousadelic · 23/10/2014 20:15

I love the message but felt really uncomfortable with the children swearing despite the fact I do it all the time.

pictish · 23/10/2014 20:17

Do I hear the light chinking of pearls being clutched?
