I quite like Capaldi, but not keen on the girl and have the writers changed? This series is crap and where is the interesting back story, where is River Song? Didn't even finish tonight's episode, really disappointed.

I miss Matt but enjoying the different dynamics of Capaldi. I miss the two before Matt too :)

PC is fantastic for me - imho there hasn't been a Doctor able to channel the alien side as well since Tom Baker.

What I love about the program is the ability of the regenerations to show a different part of the same character.

I'm loving the confused, sardonic, patronising, irritable older Who.

I loved Christopher Ecclestone. Favourite companion is Martha (Freema Agyeman???) - none of the other companions can act that well, although quirky in their own ways.

I think this would be great, but he's just not pulling it off IMO.

Oh I love Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, I was a bit worried as I was a huge thick of it fan and thought I wouldn't be able to picture him as anyone other than Malcolm Tucker but he's shaping up to be my favourite. I love the exchanges between him and Clara and I love the physicality of his acting. YA soooooo BU

Christopher Eccleston and Martha (as an on-going thing) would have been superb.

I think PC's brilliant. Like the way that the characters are developing but the stories haven't been great so far. Loved the comedy in Matt Smith's Doctor but PC is very different, more interesting and complex than MS I think.

I miss him too actually but I think capaldi has potential. I know it's unpopular but I really did love Matt smith's doctor.

He's awful, worse than Matt Smith; although I think the change of writer contributed to my dislike of the last couple of series. David Tennant was brilliant, a fantastic Dr, and I loved the Dr/Rosevbackstory.

Christopher Eccleston was the best though, quirky yet infinitely believable, and fun. Where's the bloody fun gone? :(

I found Matt Smith's portrayal rather brilliant. He was so weighed down with unfathomable sadness but putting on a show of cheer for the humans. Always wanted to hug him.

DT (despite obvious charms) was never sufficiently alien.

Still not sure about the newbie. But like looking at Danny Pink.

Matt Smith is the only Doctor in the modern incarnation who has not won me over by the end of the first episode. Or even the first series, in his case.

David Tennant was a great Dr, couldn't warm to Matt Smith mainly because he just wasn't David Tennant so stopped watching. Tried the first episode with Peter Capaldi but not convinced he's right for the job and haven't seen a full episode since.

We are missing Matt Smith in our house as well.....some of these episodes are too scary for my DC (10 & 8) we really loved MS - his Doctor was fabulous
