Agree 100% - occasionally the mask slipped (of the MS doc) and the alien looked out from behind his eyes. Chilling and brilliant. And so sad. Always so sad despite gambolling.

DT, while entertaining/endearing - no alien in him at all.

Matt was my DC's Doctor & Zero is completely right

I was really looking forward to him (and think he could stil work) but they have ruined him.

He says ignorant things like he has no knowledge about the human race at all, like he's forgotten everything he's ever experienced and it just wouldn't be like that. His body and personality would change but he wouldn't just lose his knowledge and life experiences!

I hate her though!

Capaldi is doing the best he can with the terribly weak plots. The Robin Hood one was dire and basically was a very, very weak rerun of the Vampires of Venice episode.

Clara is beyond irritating and Danny Pink is deathly dull.

I think Capaldi is fantastic and the writing is abysmal. I don't think either DT or MS would have been good enough actors to carry some of this shite, PC handles it. Riversong was the most awful thing to happen to any tv show ever, glad she's gone. Clara needs to sod off too, awful, awful character. I miss Ecclestone

I think we're stuck with Clara for a while yet as there's still the unexplained back story of her also being Oswyn Oswald (or did I miss the explanation)

I love Michelle Gomez but have given up on this series (about 20 laborious minutes into episode 3). He's unconvincing, the stories are rubbish, I just felt sorry for the supporting actors.

Tbh, I think the writing is the worst of it.

Question to all you Dr Who Fans.......

I love ,love LOVE David Morrissey and I reckon he'd have been a brilliant Dr Who.
DH said he couldn't be because he was in the Victorian era Christmas episode as "the other Dr".

But today, he was watching "Torchwood" the Children of Earth series,,,,,,and Peter Capaldi was in it (as a different character)

So if he can be in a Dr Who spin-off , why could David Morrissey not come back as Dr Who (because obviously , saying he was a Timelord meant he was a bit delusional so he could have been excused )

I know the actor was off doing Walking Dead and that 7:39 drama but, he could've done it?

And , yes, I love Matt Smith. (Much much better than DT. I did'nt watch CE. Not seen much of PC)

It's definitely the writing that's the problem.

I watched PC's first episode and haven't bothered with any more. He's not a patch on Tennant or Smith :(

I have wondered whether the writers are taking Capaldi's Doctor back to the start, William Hartnell, ever since DH remarked upon Capaldi's mannerisms, saying they reminded him of Hartnell and sometimes Troughton.

Capaldi's Doctor is old and grumpy (just as Hartnell was). He currently travels with a teacher from Coal Hill school. If, as I suspect, Danny Pink also starts travelling with Capaldi, The Doctor will have two teachers from Coal Hill school as companions. Just like Hartnell did, with Barbara and Ian (and his granddaughter Susan).

Oh please not Danny Pink. He is so dull.I'd like more of Courtney.

I love the new Dr. He reminds me of the Drs I loved, and hid behind the sofa to watch for as a kid. Tennant was Ok, but not as dark as I would have liked.

But, I am quite old, my childhood Dr was Jon Pertwee. MS IMO was rubbish.

Oh I love him- I have only started watching again because of him ( had to stop watching as I could not stand Amy and Rory!)

I think this would be great, but he's just not pulling it off IMO

Now you see I think he is. I just think the it's are too weak and focus too much on Clara. Lasts night had yet another Clara raging on at the Doctor epilogue. Those get on my tits. She's a weak character and companion.

YABVU. MS was a rubbish Doctor. Capaldi is brilliant. He reminds me very much of Jon Pertwee and he was my favourite.
