Corruption is very rife amongst the elite, that's why the UK is in the mess it's currently in and it's now come to the point where many feel disenfranchised IMO.

Yes I do know how it works thank you but you are aware that there are Scottish elite aswell don't you?

Oh come off it, who in Scotland has the same type of powers that people like DC have? Really?! Members of the House of Lords voting themselves a pay increase of 10%? WTF do they need a pay increase when there are people who are in poverty? It's beggars belief, it really is.

The Yes campaign have done a good job on well practiced Nationalist strategies like claiming the flag.

Eh? The Saltire is the official flag of the country Scotland.

The Union Jack includes the Scottish flag and symbolises the Union, and is the official flag of the UK.

The Saltire is by its nature a separatist flag as it represent Scotland on it s own, and the Union Jack is a unionist flag. Either campaign is welcome to use either flag, but the Saltire is more obviously Yes and the Union Jack is more obviously No.

Really don't understand your comment Hmm

Shocking when others are struggling to feed their families. The sooner we're independent the better.

There will be many back handers going on at the moment. The corruption is rife amongst the elite

Actually laughed out loud at that one Grin sorry

cedricsneer · 12/09/2014 14:37

But I am a no voter who feels scottish. The saltire is my flag too and I don't particularly want it appropriated by people who do not represent me.

TeamScotland · 12/09/2014 14:38

Team Scotland refers to the group that will be headed by Nicola Sturgeon to negotiate with Westminster following the yes vote. Alex Salmond has already asked Alistair Darling live on air to be part of the group.

TeamScotland · 12/09/2014 14:39

Team Scotland will be all party and include people that are not politicians also.

EarthWindFire · 12/09/2014 14:40

But the yes vote hasn't happened unless I have Ben asleep for the last week

Spiritedwolf · 12/09/2014 14:42

We'll just ignore the elite Alex Salmond bullying business leaders to keep their mouths shut about independence, or writing press releases for academics to sign, and then releasing them whether they've signed or not.

Alex Salmond is a banker. The SNP and Yes have both been heavily supported by homophobic Brian Souter and are desperate to have the Scottish Sun declare for Yes.

There are rich and powerful people on both sides of the argument. There are ordinary left of centre voters on both sides of the argument too.

I feel my country is Scotland within the UK. I think that staying in the union, with devolution, is right for the Scottish people.

TeamScotland · 12/09/2014 14:45

Whoops, in the event of a Yes vote.

Mrsfatso · 12/09/2014 14:46

I keep seeing yessers on social media muttering darkly about all the polls not being true and the real suppressed street polls showing yes at 70%. Is this in any way possible? Worried we nos are in for a very nasty shock on Friday with yes taking 75%!

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 12/09/2014 14:46

That guy following the Labour mps through Glasgow was hilarious!

IrnBruTheNoo · 12/09/2014 14:47

Alex Salmond is hardly elite LOL best laugh I've had all day. Thanks for that.

The only "senior" people to have come out of this referendum jamboree remotely well are the Queen (for saying nothing) and Mark Carney for analysing currency questions calmly and rationally. Shame he's a Canadian.

IrnBruTheNoo · 12/09/2014 14:47

"That guy following the Labour mps through Glasgow was hilarious!"

Was creasing myself this morning watch that clip LovelyRita Grin

There are a lot of conspiracy theorists on twitter, Yes will not win by 70%. I think it will be a pretty close run thing.

squoosh · 12/09/2014 14:48

I quite liked the Star Wars thing too, it's so Glasgow!

TeamScotland · 12/09/2014 14:49

Rita DH showed me that clip yesterday, just brilliant Grin

IrnBruTheNoo · 12/09/2014 14:49

Mrsfatso I think we have all to take these polls with a pinch of salt, there's a margin of error with most if not all of them (even when Yes were showing in the lead at one point).

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 12/09/2014 14:49

I think that's unlikely. There are quite a lot of pollsters all with similar results.

Also, why would it benefit the all mighty no camp to do that? The poll which showed yes in the lead actually did them some good ime as it really gave a lot of people a kick to get out and join the campaign.

TeamScotland · 12/09/2014 14:50

Yes will not win by 70%

I agree, probably nearer 60%.

squoosh · 12/09/2014 14:51

We'll soon see.

Spiritedwolf · 12/09/2014 14:51

I presume from all the elites business that you consider yourself part of the radical independence movement.

Do you not think there is a risk, as Carol Craig outlined towards the end of her article for the review, that Scotland will end up 'leaner and meaner'.

I don't see anything radical about deciding that achieving social justice for 63 million people is too hard and that we should focus on the 5.3million people closest(ish) to us. It's nationalism, not socialism.

StatisticallyChallenged · 12/09/2014 14:52

I meant unlikely re them all being universal tellers of porkies. At this point they're so close it's almost meaningless
