sc I'm starting to hallucinate

IrnBruTheNoo · 08/09/2014 22:03

"at as small a loss as possible."

But why make a loss when you can turn your dire situation into an investment for the long term??

redbinneo · 08/09/2014 22:04

wetherall - what do you mean by WM will increase it to 70? Is that pounds per week or do you mean the age of women at retirement? What evidence do you have that iScotland will be any better?

weatherall · 08/09/2014 22:04

Chelsy- if you think that is hard work then I'm starting to see why you are worried about your job prospects Wink

IrnBruTheNoo · 08/09/2014 22:04

"Wholly biased obviously but by jings he talks a good talk."

Have not personally seen him in action, by have heard he's a good orator. Very good at getting the message out to the masses!

weatherall · 08/09/2014 22:06

Redbinneo- the white paper states that an independent Scotland will not increase the pension age as WM intends to.

WildThong · 08/09/2014 22:07

Oh that's ok then weatherall.

StatisticallyChallenged · 08/09/2014 22:08

there there WildThong. I went out campaigning tonight, does that help?!

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 08/09/2014 22:08

Oh yes, very much so! Was good to see him, and George, in action. Two men I actually respect in a way, though they lack credibility and integrity. Hard to explain. I suppose it's because they are trouble makers.

Would it be wrong to admit I kind of fancy Tommy?

He's fairly easy on the eye. Wink

SantanaLopez · 08/09/2014 22:10

Would it be wrong to admit I kind of fancy Tommy?

Yes. Yes, it would be. Very, very much.

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 08/09/2014 22:10

Are you among the better together campaigning in Edinburgh sc? Genuine question, I follow them on Facebook, (sheer nosiness really) and it always seems to be the leafy, affluent areas they canvass in. Is that deliberate? I wouldn't dare ask on the Facebook face. Don't want to be accused of trolling!

ChelsyHandy · 08/09/2014 22:11

IrnBru "at as small a loss as possible."But why make a loss when you can turn your dire situation into an investment for the long term??

I just explained that. No economic certainty, don't know what would happen next in Scotland. No protection of human or property rights.

Why on earth would anyone want to own their main family home in a country they no longer live and work in? Just seems such a totally bizarre idea to me. Scotland hates absentee landlords anyway, look at all the comments on other threads about them.

Sorry it will bring down the value of your property as well and you might end up in negative equity. It won't affect you, you will be in Scotland.

You want rid of wealthier individuals anyway, so you can be the left wing socialist country you all want. Don't complain when it happens!

Theres so many other nice countries in the world to live in. I hope we can get a Visa. Germany is lovely, I have a few friends living in Barcelona, The Netherlands has loads of jobs for DH. He was offered a job in Switzerland once, I'm sure he would be again. Think of trying all those new foods!

WildThong · 08/09/2014 22:11

lovely Grin "although they lack credibility and integrity"

cunt and cuntier

weatherall · 08/09/2014 22:12

Lovelyrita- you are right about the energy just now.

I think the mainstream politicians had written off the 'missing million' who don't vote but now they have stood up.

Next Thursday will be the first time some people will cast a vote that counts and can deliver real change.

I never thought I'd see so many people, from all walks of life, come together like this.

I can't wait for the parties on the 19th!

WildThong · 08/09/2014 22:13

irn are you Gail? Shock

StatisticallyChallenged · 08/09/2014 22:14

Only just started lovelyrita so I'm not sure. I've seen them campaigning in Clovenstone and Restalrig though!

The estimated cost of not increasing the state pension age to 67 was £10bn over 10 years. Not that the SNO costed it, of course.

BardarbungaBardarbing · 08/09/2014 22:14

IrnBru I've seen problems people have when their property is in a different economy to where they want to live long term. Economies diverge, so do house prices, there are currency fluctuations.(Who knows what new taxation will appear if an economy is going down the toilet.)

Someone not committed to an Independent Scotland and not convinced of the truth of the economic claims made by the Yes campaign won't want to take the gamble.

ChelsyHandy · 08/09/2014 22:15

IrnBru "Would it be wrong to admit I kind of fancy Tommy?" He's fairly easy on the eye

Seriously? I mean seriously you find that man attractive? He looks all bloated and greasy. I didn't actually realise it was possible to fancy that man until I saw some of the left wing socialist worker party types postings on FB. I wouldn't do him if he was the last man alive on earth and I had to dtd for the future of the human race. I don't mean to be lookist, but I prefer slightly more conventional looking physical specimens, with good physical features. Bleurgh, the thought of it. And where he's been.

George Galloway looks as though he has just been strangled by an anaconda, and his eyes are about to burst out of his corpulescent face.

Moving abroad really does look appealing now, if that's the best male specimens Scotland has to offer.

WildThong · 08/09/2014 22:17

Don't hold back there chelsy Grin

PhaedraIsMyName · 08/09/2014 22:17

Do you still believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny as well?

Do you have any comment on the section on Better Together site comparing what Eck, Nicola and Swinney say in public and what has appeared in leaked internal memos. You really should read it.

squoosh · 08/09/2014 22:17

People fancy Tango Tommy!

I believe he throws some fun filled parties.....
