My lovely fella is very anaemic, has abdomen and pelvic pain, and is losing weight at a very fast rate.
He is diabetic and has an auto immune illness. They are currently under control but these new symptoms are frightening....
We are currently waiting on test results but im so afraid im going to lose him soon.

He looks like he has milk in his veins, not blood.
I love the bones of him and I cant lose the fear that he wont be here.

Oh love, it's shit.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 07/07/2014 01:44

No wonder you're scared - anyone would be. When do you get the results?

Ludoole · 07/07/2014 01:48

It is shit!! The auto immune illness he has means he wont be able to have certain treatments anyway.
Im hoping its something stupid, but....
Its frightening but I know its so much worse for him. Ive told my children he isn't well (they aren't his) but its the scariest thing ive had in my life so far.

Waiting seems to be the most cruel thing. Your mind turns itself inside out with the possibilities, doesn't it?

Meantime, you have to find some respite, that's a hell of a challenge. My heart goes out to you both.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 07/07/2014 01:59

Got to go now, but keep talking ok? Loads of support here Smile

I'll check in with you tomorrow x

Ludoole · 07/07/2014 02:01

Thankyou Luis.
I think I need to sleep cause I know I cant help until the results are in... and maybe not then....
He knows how much he's loved and whatever is wrong I hope he can fight it.
Its just crap how some bad people seem to live a "charmed" life but my fella who has a heart of gold and never has a bad word to say about anyone, has to go through pain and heartache.

Whatever happens I guess nobody can take away that I was one of the lucky ones who found my best friend and the love of my life in one person. He really is amazing!

Prayers for you both, Ludoole. Thinking of you. Thanks

Mine seem to be quite potent. I prayed that 'the crimson bastard' wouldn't start tomorrow - and it came today. Blush... sorry, trying to make you smile and it's probably not funny at all.

Just try to hang on until you know what you're dealing with.

chanie44 · 07/07/2014 06:44

Thinking of you.

TheFirstOfHerName · 07/07/2014 07:17

DH is not diabetic but had similar symptoms about ten years ago. Change in bowel habit, sudden dramatic weight loss, anaemia, night sweats, aching joints, generally looking a bit grey. I convinced myself it was colon cancer and was worried I was going to lose him.

It turned out to be Crohn's. He got better with treatment, and was well for several years. Sadly he has had another flare-up in the last six months, but at least he knew what it was this time, so was able to start treatment much quicker.

I know the uncertainty is very difficult to live with, because you assume the worst. Take one day at a time, and things may not turn out as bad as you're imagining.

capitalc · 07/07/2014 07:50

my friend had the same symptoms as TheFirstOfHerName dh and your dp, it was crohns , thinking of you op , hope he gets the tests results quickly .

InThisTogether · 07/07/2014 12:16

Though you don't want the results OP,once you have them you can start to sort it out together. hugs for you and your lovely man, just keep giving him love and hugs too, he is probably more scared than you.

Thinking of you x x x
