My lovely fella is very anaemic, has abdomen and pelvic pain, and is losing weight at a very fast rate.
He is diabetic and has an auto immune illness. They are currently under control but these new symptoms are frightening....
We are currently waiting on test results but im so afraid im going to lose him soon.

Hugs Op. I have UC. I lost a load of weight and I can remember the worry. However once they found what was wrong with me, and I started treatment my symptoms got controlled. I really hope the same happens for your partner. Please don't just assume the worst, although that's easy for me to say. Once those results are in, a plan can be made to treat him. Sending lots of unmumsnetty hugs to you both. Flowers

Ludoole · 07/07/2014 16:31

Huge thanks to everyone Thanks
He's just had a phone call from the doctor to say his blood tests are back and he needs to see him tonight.
Trying to stay positive . Hopefully it's something treatable.
Thanks again.

Oh Lud

You must be so worried.

Are the Drs able to tell you anything about the tests they're running?

Hugs x

LuisSuarezTeeth · 14/07/2014 08:30

Sorry to hear that Ludoole

Do you want to say what happened? Have you got anyone with you? Thanks

londonrach · 14/07/2014 08:35

Hugs and holding your hand. He's in the right place x

SugarMiceInTheRain · 14/07/2014 08:40

Sending hugs Ludoole, how worrying - poor you and your DP. He is in the best place now. Have you anyone IRL to talk to? Thanks

TheFirstOfHerName · 14/07/2014 08:47

Hopefully you'll get some answers soon. Thinking of you both.

Bouttimeforwine · 14/07/2014 09:11
Thanks
Ludoole · 14/07/2014 10:01

He was rushed in with agonising abdominal pain. We've been told not to go up til later as they will be running tests all day.
Im at mums currently. Dads having a bad time with his alzheimers at the moment so I suppose I'm more useful here than sitting in a waiting room.
Theres no one in rl to talk to other than mum and she's struggling enough with dad.
Im so grateful that there are lovely people out there like you all Thanks

Oh God, today must be going so slowly for you Sad

What time are you going back?

Maybe the emergency admission will speed things up in terms of diagnosis?

Ludoole · 14/07/2014 12:22

They are going to call when we can go. Hes in hdu at the moment.
Today is dragging and Ive got ds2's sports day in a short while. I just want to be holding his hand...

hope that it is treatable. my dnephew( adult) had chrons disease and went from strapping lad to less that 7st (he is 6'2) in a matter of months. he really did look like he was dying- that is no exaggeration. He had surgery and a stoma and spent 3 months in hospital. he later had it reversed and is now ok.

Ludoole · 15/07/2014 10:15

It was so lovely to finally get to spend time with him last night.
He was so happy to see me Smile
Looks like theres a few things wrong. They are still trying to figure out what although he also has a bacterial blood infection which isn't helping Sad
When I walked in his room I was shocked as he looked like the way I imagined a dying man would look...
He seemed in good spirits though despite the pain thatevenmorphineisnthelping

Ludool - Sending you strength and healing vibes for DP Flowers

His good spirits is a great sign! I hope the Dr's can find out more today. Look after yourself. Eat! I know it's easy to neglect yourself when your worried and caring for kids too x

Ludoole · 15/07/2014 14:02

Luis He's got more tests today. He's tachycardic now.
Dc's are ok. They arent his but they are worried so im answering their questions as they arise. They are being very cuddly though.

Fluffy My appetite has ventured off with my mans somewhere!

This brought a tear to my eye.
I'm so sorry your lovely man and yourself and your family are going through this.
It must be horrendous.
Try to keep your sugar levels up. Sugary tea, ice lollies.
I am thinking of you.
