My lovely fella is very anaemic, has abdomen and pelvic pain, and is losing weight at a very fast rate.
He is diabetic and has an auto immune illness. They are currently under control but these new symptoms are frightening....
We are currently waiting on test results but im so afraid im going to lose him soon.

My DH who had a very bad case of ulcerative colitis(which will never fully go away but has gone from 80% inflammation to less than 5%) and also a low white blood cell condition (which meant he used to physically deteriorate rapidly to the point of requiring hospitalization if he got a flu and is still advised to present himself to ER if he gets a temp over 38) has made tremendous health gains by adhering to The Specific Carbohydrate Diet as outlined by Elaine Gottschall. It's tough to follow but I can vouch for it working at least with the digestive conditions. Best wishes Thanks

Just a bump and a "still here" thingy

Ludoole · 19/07/2014 16:00

He's probably having his open wound closed tomorrow then hopefully he will be home soon.
Found out he had been resuscitated during original op and they asked him today if he wanted a DNR put on his notes...Bless him but he said they had better bloody at least try cause he hadnt gone through all this for nothing.

Ludoole · 21/07/2014 00:27

Wound not being closed til mid week now Sad.
He's gutted about it and his mood hit rock bottom. He's so frustrated at lying in bed, he just wants to walk about.
I was able to talk him out of the low mood he was in but I do think the longer he's in there, the more he will sink lower.
He has been through so much already.

Gruntfuttock · 21/07/2014 00:39

Oh no. Why the delay? I'm so very sorry for all you're both going through. I'm thinking of you both and wishing and hoping for the best.

SallyMcgally · 21/07/2014 01:06

Thanks ludoole. Thinking of you xx

Downamongtherednecks · 21/07/2014 01:14

Congratulations on your engagement! Hope and prayers heading your way, and wishing him home again soon.

LuluJakey1 · 21/07/2014 07:24

It must be so awful for both of you. Is he going to have any further treatment? Chemo? Radiotherapy? If so they will probably want the wound to be well- healed before they start it so won't take any risks at all.

Try and keep your spirits up. We are all wishing you better days.

Hope you have family support too.
