Depends. Are they the tiny ring ones you get in boxes at tesco? Krispy Kremes? Filled? Ring? Just plain or with icing? I'm going to need some more information before I answer your question OP.

I could manage about half of a Krispy Kreme before the nausea kicked in.

Jam and cream filled on the other hand about 4.

How many could I? At least twelve, but not if they were filled, I can't manage a filled donut at the best of times.

I never have and never would eat a dozen donuts. But I know I have the capacity to binge to an insane degree, if I ever wanted. DP never believes me, when I tell him, "I could eat that entire pie/casserole/whatever," if I let myself, but I know I could. The only reason I eat so little is knowing it's the right amount to eat.

When Krispy Kreme opened a shop nearby I went for do nuggets, a box of plain ones and a box of selection ones. Never having tried them I thought I would have one before I got home but they were good so had another and another and....9 donughts later I arrived at the house . Never again though and in a fact we haven't been back there.

Krispy Kreme - I'd probably have to stop after 2, they are very sweet.
Jam doughnuts - 5, then I start going off the jam.
Ring doughnuts - Quite a lot.
Freshly cooked ring doughnuts, warm from the van - You keep them coming and I'll keep eating them.

Eek at the multiple donut eating! Dot know whether to be impressed or horrified!

Don't think I could do more than half a ring / jam donut and I hate Krispy Kremes.

But then I don't like any cake really.
