I think 7.

DD1 thinks she could easily do 12-15.

DD2 doesn't like them.

Would it be frightfully unreasonable to test this hypothesis?

I ate 5 milk choc filled ones from asda in a few hours on mon(in prep for this thread)

Can't stand KrispyKreme, but the pretend krispy kreme ones from greggs are pretty good.

And straight from the fryer I'll eat them till I run out of money, more addictive than penny falls!

maras2 · 25/06/2014 23:38

If I wasn't on this 'Mother of the groom in September' bastard diet, I'd eat the whole stock of Greggs. And after the donuts.I'd start on the viennese whirls. Then I'd ............. Oh just read The Tiger Who Came To Tea.That'd be me.Roll on October.

FurryDogMother · 25/06/2014 23:42

I really, really like doughnuts (especially the ones you get from the entrance to Brighton Pier that are just cooked and warm), but I actually feel a bit sick at the thought of eating more than 2 in one go. I suppose I could struggle through about 6 if I were in some kind of doughnut-eating contest for which I'd mentally prepared myself (and not eaten anything for a week!), but the aftermath wouldn't be pretty!

hardbeingme · 25/06/2014 23:46

dozens and dozens and dozens....

n.b. have been strictly adhering to slimming world since January... sigh...

WorraLiberty · 25/06/2014 23:47

Tbh the people who are saying they probably could eat silly amounts, might find the reality is very different.

maras2 · 25/06/2014 23:49

When I was 17,I had a Saturday job in Woolies on the donut counter. We also sold rolls and bars of Galaxy. 40 fecking years later I'm still weeble shaped and doing the 'mother of the groom' bastard diet.

BreadForBrains · 25/06/2014 23:58

Possibly 3 supermarket jam ones. They really need to double the amount of jam though, I had one recently and think they've got VERY tight with the jam.
2 krispy kremes - chocolate covered, cream filled.
5 warm from the fayre ring ones.
I think my Consumption is actually a good benchmark.

BigChocFrenzy · 26/06/2014 06:54

I used to inhale eat 8 chocolate-glazed donuts on Saturday mornings and want more, but they have to be decent ones.
I didn't lick my lips until I'd finished licking the empty bakery bag.
Oh and no cream inside - that would be greedy.
Smile
Not Krispy Kremes though; they have a vile chemical taste.
Envy

Is this aibu

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 26/06/2014 07:41

Anyone like the chocolate donuts filled with chocolate sauce? Cant find them anywhere for sale any more!

Anyways.....classic jam filled sugar coated - one.
Krispie kreme..... three assorted

londonrach · 26/06/2014 07:47

None....horrible things. Taste awful, if a jam one (just about edible) you get covered in sugar and jam drops all over you and without jam it just tastes like stale bread. Yuk. Now give me some Australia crunch or a iced Belgium bun and we talking......

bleurghblah · 26/06/2014 07:59

One supermarket, maybe two Krispy Kreme at a push, and maybe a packet of those mini hot ones you get from a van that are like five for a pound. But without sugar.

Not to hijack the thread but I could easily eat 12 bags of crisps though

chocolatemademefat · 26/06/2014 08:03

Fudge do-nuts - none. They are disgusting. Any other do-nuts - all of them and the man who made them.

OwlinaTree · 26/06/2014 08:08

I reckon I could eat a supermarket packet, the 5 for a quid type.

bigTillyMint · 26/06/2014 08:12

I'm with BIWI!

Unless they are Krispy Kreme and then I could probably force one downWink

NinetyNinePercentTroll · 26/06/2014 08:12

1 at a push, I'm not a fan

gamerchick · 26/06/2014 08:14

1 jam filled and 1 1/2 normal ring. Not a big lover if super sweet stuff.

NinetyNinePercentTroll · 26/06/2014 08:15

As for KrispyKreme, yeuch. I bought a big box for a work thing about a month ago because a few people at work had said how much they rated them. Blimey, they are rank - so utterly synthetic tasting.

goldopals · 26/06/2014 08:17

I ate 12 cakey Krispy Kreme donuts on a dare once in under half an hour. It was not a pleasant feeling

bobbywash · 26/06/2014 08:18

ten custard filled ones, then 5 the following day (I bought 15 for the kids and friends, but none of them liked custard so I ate them all)

The only problem with donuts is the calories and my lack of restraint to eating just one, I now don't buy them any more.

diddl · 26/06/2014 08:27

1 plain one.

Krispy kreme ones look awful.

I hate the name tbh & even typing it makes me feel nauseousGrin

trixymalixy · 26/06/2014 08:32

I really don't get the popularity of Krispy Kreme. I was looking forward to trying one but it just gave me a headache as it was so sickly sweet. Bleurgh.

Jux · 26/06/2014 08:35

When I was pg I would treat myself once a week to a bag of 10 jam doughnuts from Asda. I would eat 8 on the day we got them - usually Saturday - and leave 2 for dh. If he hadn't had them by Monday evening I would eat them too.

I am pretty sure that I could have eaten more than 10 in a sitting if I wasn't worrying about sharing.

Any other type of doughnut, aside from mini ones fresh from a fairground van, are vile.

Sadly most doughnuts these days are overdone. Some shops roll them in icing sugar Shock which is just wrong. The best doughnuts round here come from the Co-op.

CompanionCube · 26/06/2014 08:36

I always think I can eat 10 but only ever manage 2 (normal sized ring ones)

GiniCooper · 26/06/2014 08:39

I can't even manage 1.
They're gick.
