I think 7.

DD1 thinks she could easily do 12-15.

DD2 doesn't like them.

Would it be frightfully unreasonable to test this hypothesis?

I love jam filled doughnuts. I once ate 10 in a row when I bought a huge bag on offer from Tesco as a student without realising they had to be consumed on the day of purchase, which I think I just took as an excuse (or challenge?) to eat them all. Grin

I was very full at the end though, I recall. Maybe if Alan Rickman had personally challenged me I could have eaten one or two more? That would be pushing it though!

Pregnantberry · 27/06/2014 21:20

LOL, I meant Adam Richman, not Alan Rickman!

acsec · 27/06/2014 21:24

I could probably eat all the doughnuts available. People are always shocked at the amount of cake I can consume (I don't do it very often) and joke I could be a competitive eater!

DH went through an odd doughnut obsession very recently. Every time he went out he would come home with at least 4. He's not normally the greedy sort.

Then one evening he came home with a tray of 16 he found in asda and ate the whole lot the next day.

I suggested he seek help.

:o at Alan Rickman's doughnut challenge.

I would totally watch that.

The fresh ones from the van? On a cold wet day? When you are stuck outside in the rain? Bag of 5 no problem.........

Plomino · 27/06/2014 22:31

Jam doughnuts from Sainsburys - I can do a whole bag of 5 one after the other , though not so much lately . Can't even manage a whole Krispy Kreme though , way too sweet for me.

My absolute fave though is chocolate eclairs. I once had an absolutely horrific day at work, and decided to cheer myself up with a one of those boxes of ten eclairs that you used to get at tesco. Bought them , sat in the car, and systematically ate my way through each and every one . It was only when I was licking the remains of the cream from the clear plastic tray they were in , that I suddenly realised I was parked nose to nose with a transit van full of plumbers , who were watching me in disbelief .

I love this thread. I've never allowed myself more than 2 in a row. Am I uptight or just always overweight? I guess I could do at least 8!

notnowImreading · 28/06/2014 17:28
  1. Any more than 5 and I come out in hives (have tested this more than once to be sure).
WitchWay · 28/06/2014 17:32

I love the hot ones from the van at the fair & could manage two or three. I don't like any of the cold ones at all, so none of those Grin
