Not an AIBU cos really the title says it all. At massive local pool with group of five girls aged 10/11. Luckily they were showering in different area, I was waiting at lockers for them to come back and get changed. Bloke in the shower, nonchalantly steps out of his trunks and made big show of rinsing them out. I did a double take, then the slow burn whilst my brain tried to process what i was seeing . I nabbed a passing lifeguard and said "look!!!!" He was (after getting dressed) frogmarched out and told if he came back in they'd get police involved. Creep. My group of girls saw nothing but that was more luck than anything. shudders

If the man was showering naked in a men only shower room which is private eg not poolside then being naked isnt a problem unless he was doing excessive washing of the genital area but basic nudity no problem me and my sons will happily strip off too was my ds's are 12 and 14 however if there is someone of the oppersite sex present common sense is keep your trunks on or prepare for complaints arrest and or being charged or cautioned and then placed upon the sex offenders register

No it is not ok for the man to be naked, in a communal shower with chikdren about. The lifeguards reaction confirmed that it was totLly unacceptable in that leisure centre.

Ok if it were in changing area of the same sex, but there were chikdren of the opposite sex about.

I don't have a problem with nudity.

I do have a problem with men who don't appear to be willing to observe social norms of behaviour such as keeping their genitals covered in a public place where no one else is getting naked.

Threads like this make me laugh, and I realise it's an old one, but all these people trying to out-liberal and out-naked each other. Just bleugh, put it away, nobody's impressed and if there's children present, don't be surprised and all self righteous if you're escorted off the premises. Pander to your nudity in your own home or where it's appreciated, judge the situation, not everyone wants to see your bits, however much you feel we should have to.

I wouldn't use a communal chaniging room. But wouldn't people normally strip off to take a shower.

Feck, just realized this is a zombie thread, had typed out a huge post regaling the tales of shady men in my local pool.

God its just nudity.

It's not "just nudity" when it involves a naked adult stranger and children. It's a sex offence. He should have been arrested.
