This is now our third thread.

Thread 2 is here - with lots of useful information:

DH who gave up smoking 12 years ago wants one now Shock

Allergictoironing · 19/02/2014 16:02

If it says it is Hangsen then it should be OK. I've ordered Hangsen liquids from a few different companies on line & each time it's tasted exactly the same even when it's been rebottled into their own labelled bottles (I'm guessing they buy it in big bottles then decant it to the smaller amounts ordered).

That's a damned good price crispy, at £1.50 per 10 ml the cheapest I've seen (and I may have to have a look myself).

crispycronut · 19/02/2014 16:09

Its a bit of a bargain at under 35 Euros inc Delivery which is why i was a bit worried!

There are a good few flavours worth investigating

www.bargainvapour.com/

Queen i thought you'd made a typo with the litre Grin

FlockOfTwats · 19/02/2014 16:49

Crispy I used to use TW and they are very expensive Imo.

I like joose juice and hangsen now.

crispycronut · 19/02/2014 17:07

I think Totally wicked are definitely at the expensive end of the market but i cant fault the Ego C twist, its lasted 13 months and only just died a death. Considering i'm attached to the bloody thing, its bordering on a miracle it lasted more than a month Grin

I will investigate joose juice aswell.

Ledaire · 19/02/2014 17:11

I've been looking at Totally Wicked for Maple and Nutella flavours and thought they were a bit pricey but sounds like they're good liquids.

ginmakesitallok · 19/02/2014 17:14

If you haven't tried t juice you really need to. They sell concentrates too, which makes it more affordable. Vamp vape is my all day vape , but red Astaire, quintessence and afrodizziac are pretty amazing too

Ledaire · 19/02/2014 17:23

I'm glad you're getting on well MsInga Smile

Are you going to get DH one?

Ledaire · 19/02/2014 19:29

The Alchemists' Cupboard Lemon Merigue Pie (10 ml 24%) is still available to pass on. I'm just not a lemon person. Regs, lurkers, all welcome to PM with an address and I'll happily send it Smile

MaggieMcGill · 19/02/2014 21:15

Oh, Gin do you like t juices red Astaire and afrodizziac? I got a load of their liquids for Christmas and the only one I really liked was Vamp Vape. I'm sure there is someone here who has been mixing their own vamp vape substitute.

Crispy Fasttech sell the twists for less than a tenner if you don't mind waiting about 3 weeks for them to be delivered. I've had two since before Christmas and no problems so far. 13 months is got going though.

FlockOfTwats · 20/02/2014 04:13

Crispy I came to the conclusion TW products hate me. I had an ego c twist and the atomizers forever burned out after a day and the battery came apart within a couple of months and the circuit inside was all dodgy :( I have another ego c twist just not from totally wicked though and its still going strong, although the casing has started to come a bit loose. I'm not too fussed though, OH is getting an iTaste 134 on friday so i will just steal his itaste vv battery (I have one but i never sit near a plug to use it as a pass through lol).

I had a tornado T and OH pilfered it and then sat on it because he insisted on leaving them in his back pocket.

Some of their liquids i can't fault though - I've yet to find an energy drink flavour as good as theirs and their lemon and lime is lovely too, every other lemon and lime flavour seems to lose its taste after a few puffs for some reason.

Their cherry is nice too, and aniseed.

I might have to order a couple online next time they have a sale.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 20/02/2014 06:34

I buy 100ml ry4 from bargain vapour. Very fast service. I'm keeping an eye on what's happening in europe. If the current proposals go through I'll be buying a litre of high nicotine liquid from them.

I think battery quality is a bit hit and miss regardless of where you buy.

Well done MsInga Flowers You can get spare iclear16 clearos from myepack for not many pennies. Also pick up a spare battery unless your kit comes with two.

MistressDee, what was it you asked advice on, on the old thread? I can't remember.

crispycronut · 20/02/2014 08:56

Wow, i just looked at the fasttech site and theres way too much choice!

I've always used the TW Ego twist with the atomisers that you replace which does work out very expensive, especially if you get a dud one in the pack.

I dont understand the kits with the tank bits.

Do you just have to make sure you order additional tanks because they contain the heating element and atomiser Confused

Whats a cartomiser?

Now you can understand why i havent changed brand over the last 13 months Blush

Allergictoironing · 20/02/2014 09:12

Cartomisers are the refills for the cigalike type of ecigs, about the same size as the filter part of a normal cigarette and usually a different screw fitting to the standard 510 Ego thread. Though refillable cartomisers are available, most tend to be disposable.

Some clearomisers (aka clearos, tanks) e.g. CE4 are disposable so when the coil/atomiser dies you replace the whole thing. Others (e.g. CE5, GS-H2s) you can replace the atomiser in the main tank part.

I'm guessing the "kits with the tank" thing is the Kanger mini Protank? The Protank tanks are made of Pyrex glass so less likely to crack if you drop them, plus certain flavourings in the juice can damage the usual plastic tanks (e.g. some spice flavours). The Kanger Protank tanks can be taken completely apart, and every bit is replaceable.

Be careful of Fasttech - in a good way! I ended up buying exactly double what I'd intended, they are just so cheap and tempting Grin.

MsIngaFewmarbles · 20/02/2014 11:45

I'm thinking about it, would obviously get him 0% liquids :)

Ledaire · 20/02/2014 11:51

Yy to 0%

DD is at an age where she is likely to try smoking soon. I'm quite tempted to say to her, "don't you bloody dare but if you must, come to me and I'll set you up with a shiny rainbow spinner and as many flavours of Hangsen 0% as you can handle" Grin

So glad I gave up before she was able to nick the odd cigarette. My parents didn't smoke but that's how a lot of my friend's got hooked.

Ledaire · 20/02/2014 11:52

friends

Argh!

Allergictoironing · 20/02/2014 12:11

Good planning that Ledaire. Might help your argument if you point out the devastating effect real smoking has on things like skin and hair (already noticing improvements to mine Grin).

If she's a typical girly teen, it may be worth offering her a choice of some of the other blingy batteries out there like the Ego Q or Ego K ranges, or even the Ego K (covered with little crystals in various colours, rather yuk imo). I know you (and I!) adore the rainbow spinner but not sure if it isn't a bit subtle for a teen, and better an adequate battery she loves than a really good one she might not use.

Ledaire · 20/02/2014 12:15

Oh yes - I've seen some of the really blingy ones with crystals. I really hope she doesn't take up any sort of habit that will cost money, but if it's the lesser of two evils... Grin at the rainbow spinner being considered subtle by a teen - you're so right!

thingymibob · 20/02/2014 14:15

What am I doing wrong with my vision spinner???

Unless it is turned down to lowest setting everything on it tastes like when the wicks need changing. The battery gets hot but isn't producing much vapour. No flavours taste of much with it. I've only had it a month. It needs charging just as much as the smaller batteries

Previously used evod (I think, was from Vape escape) and the liquid holders all fit well on the Spinner. Was really excited by the larger size, longer life and the VV but have reverted to my smaller ones now

Allergictoironing · 20/02/2014 16:37

That doesn't sound quite right to me. Assuming it's the 1300MaH (which is the largest one) then mine lasts around 50% longer than my standard 900MaH battery and takes at least 50% longer to charge, and double the vaping time and charge time of the 650MaH I have. The battery itself doesn't tend to get hot but certain clearos do on it (and my other batteries).

The one time I've had taste issues similar to yours it turned out it was the wick in the clearo (a GS-H2), and once I'd sort of thinned the wick out a bit it was fine.

QueenStromba · 20/02/2014 17:34

If the battery itself is getting hot then there's something wrong with it. I'd demand a refund or replacement.

Ledaire · 20/02/2014 17:38

How did you do that Allergic? I tried to re-wick with cotton and failed miserably. Also, where is the best place to buy spare atomisers?

Allergictoironing · 20/02/2014 18:00

Ledaire I didn't re-wick, I just reduced the thickness of the existing wick. Took the central post out then very carefully used tweezers to tweak away a couple of threads from the wick.

No idea about the best place for replacement atomisers (fasttech doesn't seem to have then listed at an initial search for GS-H2?) but I'd just have a hunt around the web, there's a few places out there.

Ledaire · 20/02/2014 18:06

Thanks. I'll try that if I have that problem.

Amazon do them but I'm loathe to buy from there after the fake clearos Hmm
