Pegging

I think I have finally battered my OH into pegging me. I know we will need loads of lube but does anyone have any other advice? Must admit I'm nervous to find out what her choice of strap on is lol

There's nothing worse than improperly pegged washing.

Apart from being fucked up the arse with a massive dildo, of course.

thegreylady · 16/11/2013 09:34

I use an indoor clothes dryer in Winter so all my pegs are resting in the peg bag atm. I wish you could still get nice wooden dolly pegs.

GobbolinoCat · 16/11/2013 09:34

I leave my pegs out too.

I do not have many left. I actually did a radical thing this year and actually splashed out on some new pegs. Its made life at the washing line much more pleasant. Smile

WestmorlandSausage · 16/11/2013 09:35

whats all this pegging business hasn't EVERYONE got a lakeland heated airer these days?

GobbolinoCat · 16/11/2013 09:36

XDH used to try to emulate it but frankly his pegging was a little too maverick for my tastes

Randal, is this why he is an ex. The last^ thing you want is a maverick pegger on your hands.

ConfusedDotty · 16/11/2013 09:36

My pegs have just been washed and polished and are currently hibernating in the greenhouse for the winter.

I have one of the retractable lines, I love the swoosh noise it makes when I put it away.

DP sometimes helps out by pegging with me in garden when he has completed a particularly big load. I find pegging to be an activity which we both enjoy.

Nothing more satisfying that hanging your damp moist load on the line and to hear it flapping away merrily in the breeze.

thornrose · 16/11/2013 09:39

I've yet to find a partner who pegs to my high standards.

stickysausages · 16/11/2013 09:39

Anyone know how to avoid those tell tale marks that are left behind on your load, after a heavy pegging session!?

ControlGeek · 16/11/2013 09:40

Oh crikey, not only am I slovenly for leaving my pegs on the line, they stay out all year round Shock

On a serious note, does anyone know if you can still get the 'dolly' style pegs? You know, the wooden ones with a head and the long slit? My normal wooden pegs just can't cope with the weight of DP's trousers when they're wet.

It's all in the positioning sticky.

littlewhitebag · 16/11/2013 09:42

Peg over the line and under the armpits to avoid tell tale pegging marks.

RandallFloyd · 16/11/2013 09:43

Tethers that made me do an actual lol Grin

It's one of the reasons he's an ex Gobbolino, I can't lie. Mismatched pegging techniques what can you do eh?

softlysoftly · 16/11/2013 09:51

My pegs always go missing :( end of the season not a peg to be seen

softlysoftly · 16/11/2013 09:59

whereis / soldiers my neighbour has one of those hoist it high double decker lines, I was Envy

But then next door whispered "Yes but it's a bit valleys isn't it" Shock

hiddenhome · 16/11/2013 10:03

I don't need to do pegging now that I have a spin dryer Grin

Ezza1 · 16/11/2013 10:19

A wayward peg broke my Flymo last summer.

ocelot41 · 16/11/2013 10:26

Weeping with laughter reading this... God, I love MN...

KissesBreakingWave · 16/11/2013 10:33

I have no particular opinion on pegging one way or the other. I just want to say that if you pronounce it as though it were actually spelled 'pance' you are a bad person and you should feel bad about that, go and sit down in the corner and think about what you've done.

killpeppa · 16/11/2013 10:40

ive never had a washing line.
now i covet one...

damn mumsnet

ControlGeek · 16/11/2013 10:46

killpeppa I felt the same way when I lived in a flat. Then I found out how cheaply you could get them from the supermarket so I bought one and just kept it in the kitchen drawer, taking it out to look at it occasionally. When we went camping, I took it with us and used it to dry our tea towels around the fire. It was wonderful!

PS my question about the dolly pegs was genuine - though reading it back it looks a bit tongue in cheek and double entre laden which was not what I meant!

SavoyCabbage · 16/11/2013 10:48

I need new pegs so I picked up a packet but when I was in the queue I noticed that there was ONE peg of a different colour. That would have driven be doo-lally so I had to put them back. Hmm

ShinyBauble · 16/11/2013 10:50

I would feel more sympathy for your thread derailment OP if you hadn't used the distasteful word 'battered' to describe persuading your partner into something. I know you didn't mean it literally, but still...

I hope she tears you a new one Grin

ConfusedDotty · 16/11/2013 10:51

Gosh MN certainly alerts you to unheard of practices.

I sincerely hope I am never afflicted with a prolapse of the peg bag variety. I like to think my peg bag will serve me well for many years to come no matter how hard DP rams the pegs in after sorting his load out.

killpeppa · 16/11/2013 10:53

I have no clue to what the OP meant by 'pegging' & wash quite glad it has turned into a washing thread...Blush

anyone elaborate?
