AIBU ... to STILL feel positively evangelical about electronic cigarettes? [thread 2]

magimedi · 15/11/2013 22:02

Here we go with thread two.

There is a great deal of information on Thread One about vaping :

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/1865547-to-feel-positively-evangelical-about-electronic-cigarettes?pg=1

I think that many of us have been able to give up smoking thanks to e-cigs & vaping & are all feeling the positive results & want to spread the message.

I now have a couple of dedicated tupperwares to store all my accessories!

I gloat over them from time to time!

Grin at gloating over them.

My bits are in an old JAC vapour cigalike box.

I gloat over my two lovely "ashtrays" which keep my kit upright - a Baileys glass and a posh candle holder.

My sense of smell has returned. This is both good and bad Hmm

LedareAnsley · 29/01/2014 15:07

Posted too soon - thank you for the congrats and well done on your milestones, Plenty. Glad to hear that the GSH2's are okay Smile

magimedi · 29/01/2014 16:07

So agree with you about the sense of smell - traffic fumes are so vile now & food is so good! Haven't put on weight but noticed how much less mustard, horseradish etc I put in a sarnie.

This must be what it is like to be a dog. I'm walking around saying to DH, "did the cafe in Tesco always smell so strongly of fish? Oh, someone has lit up across the road, DS is upstairs and needs changing"

Amazing Grin

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/01/2014 17:38

I got one of these and it's full Blush I have lined one of the drawers with a rubble sack to make a dark drawer for liquids. I also have a big chunky old pub ashtray with my daily bits and pieces in it.

YY to sense of smell returning! The stench of cat tray and unwashed teen in this house at the moment is indescribable Grin

LedareAnsley · 29/01/2014 19:47

Oh God, I used to have to sniff the armpits of DD's "can't be arsed to get a clean ironed one from the wardrobe so will wear the same school shirt for days"

Not any more

I have been sniffing satsumas.

Agree r.e taste as well, magimedi Smile

Allergictoironing · 29/01/2014 20:30

I'm jealous - I can't quite shift the end of this cold so pretty much no sense of taste or smell. Not helped by the constant Olbas Oil sniffing to keep from getting even more bunged up - everything is smothered by the smell of eucalyptus.

But I DID walk into the spare bedroom today & smelled the old smoke in there (hadn't actually opened the door to that room for about a month), noticeable from the rest of the house. And my dsis was round yesterday & commented without any prompting on how much better the house smells now Smile

Cantabile · 29/01/2014 22:16

I gave myself this for Xmas www.etsy.com/uk/listing/152077228/ecig-car-holder-or-desk-stand-premium

Cantabile · 29/01/2014 22:21

When I put wooden ecig stand into Google images, my eyes nearly popped out. Some really elaborate things!

So when we have so many spare batteries and different clearos and more flavours of juice than we could try in a lifetime, we can spend our money on delightful wooden sculptures which are also practical! Grin

QueenStromba · 30/01/2014 17:21

If anyone's interested there's a 25% code for liberty flights which is good until the 5th of Feb: fabfeb

It makes the flavour art DIY flavours that I've been raving about the same price as direct from flavour art in Italy without the wait (and they'll be pre steeped). It also makes their nicotine liquid the cheapest I've seen outside of Bargain Vapour and makes an eGo Spinner - 1300mAh £18 which is probably the cheapest you'll get outside of Fast Tech and without the worrying wait to see if they get through customs.

magimedi · 30/01/2014 17:27

GO AWAY QueenStromba.

You are a wicked temptress.

Are you related by marriage to Snow White?

I had sworn not to spend any more on any new ecig stuff until Easter (apart from liquid).

There was meant to be a Grin in there - but I posted to quickly.

All that juice makes me super fast!!

OP posts:
QueenStromba · 30/01/2014 18:37

Well you could get some cheap stuff to make you own juices. You know you want to.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 30/01/2014 18:39

Thanks Queen! I'm definitely going to try mixing as soon as I've sorted out a space.

Cantabile those wooden stands are lovely! I'd forgotten all about etsy.

magimedi · 30/01/2014 19:45

Queen - if someone could tell me how to make 'The Sherlock@ - I'd be happy.

I am a one juice woman!!

And I am sending the link to those stands to DH - even if it is 6 months until my birthday.

Evening all, my clear omitted has packed up. Spoke to the company and chap said they only last a couple of months. Is this correct?

Doinmummy · 30/01/2014 23:07

Clear omitted ?? Clearomizer

FlockOfTwats · 30/01/2014 23:25

DZ Here. Had to NC the other day.

Doin - Yes they do only last a couple of months. What clearo is it? If it's rebuildable you just replace the atomizer/coil inside (Usually 2 - 3 quid). If not you replace the whole clearo :)

Doinmummy · 30/01/2014 23:44

Ok thanks

Doinmummy · 30/01/2014 23:49

Will any clearo fit any battery? I don't want to use the original supplier as my friend bought one from them, it didn't work so she sent it back, as advised by them . They then just returned the whole thing to her saying she needs to buy a new clearo. It hadn't been used !

LedareAnsley · 31/01/2014 00:03

A Socialites shop has opened where my Dad lives. Dear God, the prices! £9.99 for 15 ml of liquid and you have Hmm to buy their battery according to the sales assistant I spoke to on the phone - to go with the CE4 clearos which they are selling two for £9.99.

These are "disposable" - no cleaning / dry burning etc - I haven't seen as big a rip-off merchant since Pedlars Grin

LedareAnsley · 31/01/2014 00:05

Very tempted by the ego spinner QueenStromba...

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 31/01/2014 08:54

Doin, yes any clearo will fit any battery. As Flock says, depending on the type of clearo you are using you might be able to just change the coil.

LedareAnsley · 31/01/2014 18:20

Just posting to say thank you so much for recommending the GS-H2s. I love them although I was very confused at first and wondered where the wicks were and how they would work, filling up.

Cant, cotton wool for a lost wick?
