Dh never does the washing but was running low on pants. So he collected all the dirty pants in the house including ds's badly soiled ones in the laundry basket i use for clean washing.
Aibu to be disgusted by this. I have cleaned said basket with anti bac spray but this makes be cringe.
Aibu or ocd.

OCD is a real illness, not something you just have because you are a neat freak.

You are a neat freak. I use the same baskets for clean and dirty.

Don't you have a hamper?

usualsuspect · 18/08/2013 17:33

YABU.

aworriedaunt · 18/08/2013 17:34

He helped didn't he? I'd be grateful. I use the same basket too.

BreeWannabe · 18/08/2013 17:35

Unless people in your house are particularly unsanitary in their toilet habits, I think YABU! :)

CockyFox · 18/08/2013 17:35

I also only have one washing basket I don't even think DH even knows where it is.

usualsuspect · 18/08/2013 17:35

I don't even have a clean washing basket, but if I did I'm sure it would never be empty.

The clean washing chair in my bedroom is usually piled high.

Sirzy · 18/08/2013 17:35

What tee said. People throwing OCD around like its just being a bit fussy really pisses me off.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/08/2013 17:35

YABU

I have one basket.

MrsMangoBiscuit · 18/08/2013 17:36

Helped?! Washing your own laundry isn't "helping" :(

But yes OP, YABU, sorry.

Turniptwirl · 18/08/2013 17:36

Yabvu

Sirzy · 18/08/2013 17:36

And where on earth were the badly soiled pants anyway? Surely they go straight into the washing machine or at least the wash basket?

BuskersCat · 18/08/2013 17:37

What Tee said

binhome · 18/08/2013 17:37

We have a hamper too.
And yes maybe i am bordering on ocd in a few things.
Checking locks etc. I just didn't think it was terribly hygiencic putting pants with caked on poo in a basked i use for clean.

OP posts:
MissMarplesBloomers · 18/08/2013 17:38

At least he bloody did it,be grateful, swish the basket out with anti bac & forget it.

Tee2072 · 18/08/2013 17:39

Perhaps some lessons in wiping are more in order than worrying about what basket things go in?

I have never seen caked on poo on pants in this house and I have a 4 year old who is still not toilet trained.

If you have been diagnosed with OCD I apologize. If you haven't, you aren't or should go to a GP if you think you are.

Madamecastafiore · 18/08/2013 17:39

If you were really OCD you would not have dirty soiled pants anywhere in your house.

In fact to me not dealing with immediately is rather slovenly IMO!

candycoatedwaterdrops · 18/08/2013 17:40

YABU especially for the OCD comments.

BuskersCat · 18/08/2013 17:40

How long do you leave pants 'caked in poo'? Dds were rinsed and thrown straight in the machine, rather than left festering away. We have one basket here.

OnTheNingNangNong · 18/08/2013 17:42

Why do you not clean pants caked in poo? My son is cloth nappies and it's washed immediately. Soiled pants stink, they get bagged and binned asap.

OnTheNingNangNong · 18/08/2013 17:43

YABVU btw.

Jan49 · 18/08/2013 17:43

I think I might wipe it out with a cloth if someone had done that. I have a washing basket. It's for emptying the washing machine contents into when they've been washed, before the stuff gets hung up to dry. For dirty washing I have a large washing basket with a lid and 2 bins. If I take stuff to a launderette and use a black bag, I take a clean one to put the washing in afterwards so it doesn't go back in the same one that the dirty washing was in. I'm not fussy or a neat freak.

CajaDeLaMemoria · 18/08/2013 17:43

You won't be OCD if you can leave pants caked in poo in your house. Just the possibility would make me feel really, really ill.

And yes, I have an OCD diagnosis.

Nagoo · 18/08/2013 17:47

I am supposed to have two baskets now?

chateauferret · 18/08/2013 17:49

U.

MammaTJ · 18/08/2013 17:49

YABU, no wonder he doesn't often help.
