Ready for later! :)

Aw tidy! We should have a meet up in your honor! Who needs a wedding, with over priced drink and enforced conversations with people you don't know!

RenterNomad · 25/08/2013 10:33

I'd love it if no-one noticed the lack of decorations. No-one.noticed that we had "none". Mind you, we did have flowers, so maybe GZ was trying to avoid that expense?

TidyDancer · 25/08/2013 10:38

Morning. :) I'm feeling okay about it all this morning. At least I didn't have to dress up and get papped on her red carpet!

I will keep checking for photos, there's a couple of ones of people who were there, but nothing showing the actual venue iykwim. The outfits don't seem to have stayed too faithful to the specified decades!

Glad you are feeling okay this am. The raised platforms sound horrendous. I agree that Gluezilla will look on this and cringe in time.

Antlers, genius about Gluezilla getting high after all.

SauvignonBlanche · 25/08/2013 10:56

Glad you're OK Flowers

clam · 25/08/2013 11:17

And I bet you're glad you're not spending the morning clearing up!

footflapper · 25/08/2013 11:30

Morning Tidy Smile
I'm always glad to be hangover free on a Sunday when people I know have been partying on a Saturday...

CorrineFoxworth · 25/08/2013 11:31

I feel very sorry for mindyourownbusiness now after all the effort she went to Sad

The rain really was spectacularly bad yesterday. Worst weather we have had all summer and it was on her day! I was humming that Alanis Morrisette song to myself for hours.

TidyDancer · 25/08/2013 13:33

Definitely glad I'm not hungover! Grin

We are having a barbecue at PIL's this afternoon (thankfully the weather is holding at the moment!) so will be a nice day. :)

Hope you all have a nice afternoon too! Flowers

Tidy. When's the movie out. This is amazing plot with twists and turns.

SolidGoldBrass · 25/08/2013 19:20

Have finally read all the threads. Holy shit, what a fuckwit of a bride. And good on you Tidy for being able to see the funny side. I bet it did sting a bit yesterday but it will pass.

Glad the raindance worked, Tidy!

CheerfulYank · 26/08/2013 04:57

This has been epic. I just can't believe the sheer nerve!

Weasleyismyking · 26/08/2013 10:06

From Friday (how dare I go away for a couple of days!):
There is nothing on Facebook from her today. A photo of the outside of the venue has appeared on another friend's profile, but it isn't accompanied by any wedding talk.

Surely this ^^ is the person who got roped into the decorating?

TidyDancer · 26/08/2013 11:24

Weasley - I wondered that, but the venue is actually in a public area (think Brighton Pavillion but not, iykwim). It could have been that the aforementioned guest was just walking through.

I'm still hoping no one did it. Sorry if that sounds mean, I don't want someone's wedding ruined, but gluezilla really should learn from this. There are still no photos that I've seen that show anything of the wider room, just group shots.

I'll see you all back here in a couple of years for the inevitable baby shower debacle. Grin

mistlethrush · 26/08/2013 17:30

BUt Tidy, you won't be invited to that - you will simply get the 'gift list' and be asked to provide balloons in the appropriate pastel colour...

Thaumatrope · 26/08/2013 17:32

I think if I were her, I would have restricted your access to my posts, so you wouldn't see her photos necessarily.
(Not being mean, I just would have tried to save face a little, I think.)

ShiftyFades · 26/08/2013 21:36

I think it was a mutual friend's picture, not the bride's. she can't restrict other people's pictures.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/08/2013 21:43

Never mind a baby shower, she will send you a Save-the-Date card for the birth, and will then expect the loan of your womb for the actual pregnancy!

EdwiniasRevenge · 26/08/2013 21:47

Or save the date for the conception.....

Erm...think I might have lowered the tone...

Bahhhhhumbug · 26/08/2013 22:01

Edwina Naughty step , now !

PedantMarina · 27/08/2013 06:31

Tidy, sorry I wasn't around on the weekend - was really off the grid! But I read your post about the guests who were invited also being your friends, and I think that might be what's adding extra sadness. Gluezilla you've written off four freds ago, but it can feel like the other friends are "rejecting" you by attending this wedding.

Logically you of course know it's not like that. But sometimes logic doesn't get a look-in.

And I completely agree with the poster who said that Gluezilla had 80 people fawning over her for one day - you've got thousands who think you're brilliant over several weeks! That surely makes you the winner.

Bahhhhhumbug · 27/08/2013 10:10

Pedant that makes perfect sense to me. I noticed the other night that someone in my extended family is a facebook 'friend' of my DHs exw , whom l cant abide and has done me a lot of disservice over the years. This family member was always 'on my side' about it all and was never a fan of the exw. in conversation at least.

I felt an awful pang when l saw her pic pop up as a friend of the exw. Stupid l know as they were probably only 'friends' to exchange photos of mutual relatives DCs or something. But yes l felt betrayed [drama queen, moi?] and logic didn't get a look in Grin
